Thanks for watching! Let me know in the comments if you have any questions. You can check out Roborock’s comparison tool for more differences between the vacuums: us.roborock.com/pages/robot-vacuum-cleaner-compare --------- I think this might be the first robot vacuum wedding… and hopefully the last.
Maybe someday you could do a video so you can like do a video on RU-vid bike buy smart balls with lights you can control with your phone and it can go in water
this is the best review talking about the s6 pure mopping that other reviewer didn't talk about, and this is one of the biggest difference that other reviewer should talk about, not just the noise and 1 hour more charging which is not that important, great review, thanks.
Never heard of Roborock prior to this video. We were on the fence about purchasing from a rival company due to wanting a vacuum and mop. That combo alone would of cost $1000 if not more. This vacuum checked all of our boxes for cleaning features and it’s also a mop. Sold!!! We purchased the S6 pure from Amazon and it arrived same day. Let if charge over night and away she goes today mapping and cleaning the floors. Thank you for making videos like this.
For those with a smaller house and you don't need the mop, the one he did not mention is the S4. We got the S4 over the 5 recently because it was cheaper, didn't have the mop, and has a larger dust(hair) bin. But it still has all the other functions of the S5. No multi-level. Great comparison though and a great video as always. Thanks
Thanks for commenting this! Roborock has quite a few options at different price points. Some people may not want the mop so the S4 is a great vacuum for them.
Thanks for making this video! I just can't come to spend that much on a vacuum. They have come down over the years, true, it's still a lot of "clams". (bonus if you get the 80's reference) I'm gonna wait a few more years and see what WYZE comes out with. I'll watch your review on that. As always you're doing a great job. I'm sure it's not but you make it look so easy! Well done.
Thanks for your support! Yes a Wyze robotic vacuum at an inexpensive price would be awesome. They have less expensive options, but they don't have the mapping features and kind of bounce around your house randomly, which isn't great.
Forgot about the S4, if you dont need the mopping feature its a great buy since its cheaper then those and comes with the upgraded processor found in the s6
You so rock man.. What fun content. I so want a MR. Robot for my home. Being a bachelor with hardwood floors, and a dog, I think I could get along with a MR. Robot in my home. Super cool, I so appreciate your channel 🤙
Hey there. I've recently been interested into making my home smarter and so I found this channel. I really liked your content and found it for the most part extremely useful but I am surprised you haven't done an Alexa Vs Google Home video. Please do that at some point because I like both but I only need one assistant in my home
Thanks for watching and commenting. I like your idea for Alexa vs Google. There are pros and cons with each system so it really depends on your setup and preference. That's a great suggestion and I will definitely look into it!
If price isn’t a issue which roborock would you choose? I’ve tried the deebot t8 and the bissel and I’m not impressed. Single level 2ksqft. 3 younger children no pets! Thanks! Looking to order today
Great video. Conviced me to buy the s6 pure. Now to the "no-mop zone" issue (we have carpets under our dining table and sofa). How do I solve this? Can I copy an existing map and draw no-go zones on it or do I "fake" multi-story home, create a new map/story and make the robot map a second map that I then draw no-go zones on? The end goal is to have 2 almost identical maps. 1 for vacuuming and 1 (with no-go zones) for mopping. Appreciate any help :)
I wanted to S6 Max V but they're discontinued the review on the S7 had a issue with getting close for edge cleaning. So tell me with the S6 pure ,S6 or the S5 how do they do on edge cleaning do they get close to the wall? On reviews I have seen it doesn't get that close close to the wall when sweeping. Does yours get close?
Nice video thanks for the help. Is it possible to run the app in two phones? With the same settings and maps ( no go zones) etc? Like if I’m not home my wife can use the vacuum.
I bought 15 days ago...I like ur video...am from India...pls tell me can I use both functions together...nd if I want only vacuum then I should remove moping part ?
How does it handle when it comes up to a kid's toy or some loose clothing? I currently use a vacuum that you have to pick up every single possible thing that it could trip up on.
Roborock is about to come out with one that has cameras on the front so it doesn't run into anything. This one ran over a few of my kids toys and didn't get stuck. However I do try and clean up before because it could get stuck. What I usually do is only have it clean the rooms where there isn't a mess. If I clean the mess later then I just have it clean up the rooms I skipped.
You can easily remove the dustbin by lifting the flap on the top. It depends on your house's size and how often you use it. I usually empty the dustbin each time, but that's no big deal. If anyone in your house has long hairs and they get tangled in the brush, you will have to periodically remove those.
When they get something that's cheaper, has higher capacity in the dustbin, and can empty itself (and charge itself) then I'll jump and try it. Right now it's just too pricey and not the features I want (e.g. no mopping)
Yes, if you look at the comparison table from Roborock you can see the dustbin size for each of their vacuums and some are larger: us.roborock.com/pages/robot-vacuum-cleaner-compare
This price range of robotic vacuum/mops is good at mopping, but not amazing. The S6 Pure does a decent job wiping up dirt, but may not get as clean as if you mop it by hand.
A litter pricey for a broom, considering that do just that, sweep. I can't call it a vacuum because it doesn't meet all props that a real vacuum does. Not being pesimist! It just a comment. I love your videos though.
Hey Rodgen I appreciate the support for watching the video even if you're not interested in them. I have to say though the early Roomba vacuums were more like a broom. These Roborock vacuums are so much more powerful. It's not for every house but they can pull quite a bit out of carpet.
@The Matisss What is that "other stuff"? I'm trying to understand where and why does that price difference come in (5max costs 40 eur more), and which one should I buy. All I've seen this far the water tank size and water dispensing settings.
Excellent video, I really enjoyed the detailed information. Would it be possible to do a video on how to set up the different map functions as I'm still a little confused on how to do it. Thank you👍👏
Just to add one info, the S5 Max has also released the Multi-floor after updating the firmware, I have one at home and I'm using it :) I do love your channel, keep doing a great job, maybe you can create a session that users bring challenges to you and you with your knowledge respond on how to do that on a budget or like a PRO. Like: The challenge >>>> Make your washing machine smarter, on the budget, you get a Wyze magnetic sensor along with IFTTT and if the sensor is open for longer than 1 minute (means you are loading) it will trigger one timer that will notify you within 2 hours (the time is washing) and will keep reminding you until you open the washing machine once again. (there is nothing cheaper than Wyze sensors) Like a pro, you use smart things multi-sensor along with smart things hub, and you can now also use the vibration sensor to know exactly when the wash started and it ends. I'm sure your audience might have many different challenges to propose or just things they are dreaming to have and have no idea on how to put all together. #stay@127.0.0.1 and Don't hate, automate...
Thanks for the update about the S5 Max. Those are great ideas about the challenge and thinking of ways to fix smart home problems. I'm writing that down!
Thanks Kostas! Yeah a 100 videos is kinda crazy to think about. Then again there are so many channels with way more than 100 videos so I have a lot more videos to make! I appreciate your support!
I have long, curly hair which sheds as much as my cat’s fur. I’m wondering how well this vacuum performs with long human hair and pet hair. Does it get tangled? Does it pick up most/all of the hair and fur? With my 20 year old Dyson, I vacuum 3 times per week to keep dust, hair, and dirt under control..does the Roborock hold up over time with frequent use?
My wife has long wavy hair. Some of the hair gets tangled in the brush roll, but we are able to remove them pretty easily. I feel like it picks up all of the hair because we aren't finding anymore hairs after it's done cleaning. My S5 has lasted over a year without any issues, so I expect the S6 Pure to be reliable as well.
Got an S4 for $250 open box. Like it a lot for our hard floors and low pile rug, but it doesn't do great on carpet (does donuts and inconsistent travel). Sometimes I wish we would have got a higher end one for the bedrooms but it's a good price point to keep the dog fluff manageable in the main living areas
@@SmartHomeSolver the S4 is marketed as low-pile carpet or hard floor only. It was a known limitation but still somewhat silly. I wish they had an option that was no-mopping, lower priced, but did handle standard carpet.
Reed, are you using the Mi Home or Roborock app for your S5. I have mu home and cannot figure out how to name rooms. “So I can say clean the foyer....” I have seen this on others, not sure if me, device or app. Any ideas? I am up to date on firmware and Mi Home app.
Hey James. Right now the S5 can't be added to the Roborock app so I am using both. I don't know if it's possible right now to give a room a name. Did you see this on a Roborock vacuum or was it a different brand?
I’ve had this for a couple months now🌼 I also own the usual bump around style robot (N79s) that bumper cars around until the battery dies and I assume that it cleaned everything. This this is a whole different thing. It mapped my house on the first run and cleans it quickly and efficiently.
