Congratulations to Manchester City FC on a historic double. Corinne still refuses to officially acknowledge that Forever Blue is actually an homage to City, but I know the truth...
In 1986 is when I first fell in love with Corrine with SWINGOUT SISTER’s debut: It’s better to travel! Big fan ever since she mesmerizes me with her beautiful vocals and knock out looks! ❤️❤️❤️😍😍😍😘😘😘💋💋💋🥰🥰🥰 By the time: Am I The Same Girl came out In 1992 I had just graduated college with my bachelors degree and moved to California to start my masters degree at UCLA…time flies!
Corrine was a fashion designer before she joined SWINGOUT SISTER! She actually had SADE as a roommate at fashion design school! Two beauties who have great vocals!
The first time I heard FOREVER BLUE was on a cassette tape like 20 years ago and still loving it. Thanks SOS, your songs will always be a part of my teen years.
Andy & Corinne, you are the true definition of a class act, and so are your wonderful bandmates. 15 times in a row I've played this, and even if it's a million times more, it still won't be enough! Musical brilliance is best measured when artists can reinvent a song of theirs with several different versions of it, and have each of them turn out equally as great as the original. How phenomenal it would be if SOS devoted a whole album to these various renditions of "Forever Blue"!!! I am still sad that I couldn't get a ticket to see you last year here in Chicago and missed every chance to catch shows in NYC for all the years I lived there. Guess I've run out of chances, but I hope for the day when I'll finally get it right one of these times. Thank you so very much for 30 years of outstanding music.
Recently I read a review of this song from around the time it was released and it was the first time I'd heard anything about it being about Manchester City but I can understand the song can be both a love song and an homage to Manchester City. Either way whatever it is actually about it is a beautiful song and an absolute classic, and not just a Swing Out Sister classic.
...Beauty is always close...a hummingbird, light, shadow, the way women move, an owl deep in the night, Suzy Parker, deep forest, vast meadows, Carole Lombard, San Francisco, The Peak District, Yeats, Bill Evans, a mountain stream, raindrop on a leaf, silence, a whisper, horses, St. Vincent Millay, '67 Triumph Bonneville, Jean Shrimpton, patina, Grafton Street, Harris Tweed, Raymond Chadler, Maude Fealy, wind through a wheat field...wish I had heard this music once upon a long time ago in the A Shau Valley..."...I am certain of nothing except the holiness of the Heart's affections and the truth of the Imagination..."(John Keats)...Blessings to all points of the compass...James Patrick Casey, Esq.
It must cost a fortune to hire a studio and musicians. so stop sodding about, and start knocking out some new CDs, so all your fans can help you to pay for all this expense. please.
