#SWOLA146 drums were so good. At times I wasn't so sure about the riffs I'd put together, but once I'd mixed and mastered (to the best of my limited abilities) I was happy with how this one turned out. Four tracks of rhythm guitar and one 'lead' track towards the end to give that slower drum section just a little more something.
This is the first time I've tried using dissonant chords as well. It felt weird and sounded weird, but I think it worked out OK.
Second guitar in the challenge I set myself last week with SWOLA145. I'm using a different guitar each week until I've used each guitar once (before repeating). I'll use the same VST plugins as well to see how much of a difference the guitars and pickups make to the tone.
My signal chain basics are as follows:
Guitar-Fender Squier Telecaster SSH
Bass-Monterey PJ
Interface-Focusrite Scarlett Solo
DAW-Reaper
Plugins-JST Toneforge Jeff Loomis and Bassforge Hellraiser
