I love to Rushdown and push my advantage state in creative ways only mining for resources in gaps between interactions. Not every character who can do degenerate things have players who are also degenerates

Jakes Steve consists of camping while mining, and throwing out a mine cart when anyone approaches, and repeats. Boring as hell to watch, I’m so glad Kirby kid took this win, jake didn’t deserve it at all with that play style
Damn watching this just shows how many people thrive online with gimmicky characters/playstyles. The moment Jake switches off Steve you realize how bad his fundamentals are. I’m not even great at the game but I could smack him with most of the cast. Good shit to KirbyKid!
The game 4 Mario serving as a reminder wifi warrior Steves are one trick ponies. I bet KirbyKid was at peak satisfaction to finally just be able to haul out on this clown when he wasn't able to hide behind walls anymore.
Ben Gold was definitely more innovative in my opinion while playing K Rool, although he and KirbyKid were relatively even also, in terms of how well they played. also when i learned that ben gold dropped both bowser and king k rool for wolf i had to take a knee from a k rool main to a former k rool main.
@@DeVanMSX still not as carried as steve and way more enjoyable to watch. He doesn t have one gameplan that works agains 90% of the cast. But yeah he is buff like every other heavies

King K Rool, one of my most wanted characters and so fun to play as. Really grateful for his addition. Before this King DeDeDe was my most wanted and my favourite character but that changed in ultimate! he seemed like he'd never be added but it happened. I think me and king characters seem to be linked because the only other character i'd like to see happen is King Boo. Anyway its great the kind of character variety you see in smash tournaments, you don't really see that much of the roster used in other fighting games compared to smash.
@@Marcusjnmc I think his form (not being a humanoid or a quadruped) makes him real unique plus he has potiential for a fun move set and abilities, plus he's Luigi's arch nemesis. I'd take any Mario character though, I think they're all so far real fun to play.
I enjoy watching both of these characters, I don't get the hate in the comments. Jake probably relies a little too much on minecart though which I think is to his detriment. K Rool destroying the cart with the canon worked almost every time
Dang K. Rool lowkey has a solid Steve matchup. Heavy so he has time to live a lot of the jank, good jumps to get around blocks, big hitboxes to contest Steve, belly Armor to literally stomach Steve's moves, and the Blunderbuss to catch Steve out of the cart. All backed by projectiles so he's not hopeless against the block walls from a distance.
Y’all need to chill with the “counter picking loser” attitudes lmao. He’s mained Mario for over 5 years. If you were in his situation, losing to a low tier character with a character you just picked up some what recently, you are going to go back to your main to see if oh can make a comeback since it’s your best character. As for the stage pick, picking a stage that’s good for your character is perfectly fair play. It’s not even an awful stage for King K. Rool lol. Not sure why everyone loves bandwagoning the “This kid counterpicked and deserves to get shit on”, like chill lol. He choked so hard, imagine how disappointed he already feels in himself. I’m a KKR main so I’m glad KirbyKid won, but still.
I don’t think many people are ragging on him for trying to CP. Most are doing it because Jake has found success exclusively off the back of Steve on wifi, switched to Mario exclusively to abuse Yoshi’s Story’s low ceiling and a +3 MU (which is a strategy even Esam used with Mii brawler. Effective, but cheesy and kinda frowned upon), still managed to lose, and then went on Twitter and ironically complained about losing to WiFi jank It’s not the CP itself, it’s everything surrounding Jake and why he switched
Agreed. Jakes Mario is excellent and has taken game off of many good players. Stop hating on Jake. He's overall a great player. His Mario is amazing. Anyone in the roster can be 3 stocked by an online heavy.
Chill the hell out, Jake's mario is actually busted, its just that K rool is cheesy and tough to battle tbh. JaKes mario wasnt able to shine today but its actually on of the best marios Ive seen. Almost as good as Zenyous in terms of execution. I think most mario would ahve toruble fighting kirby kid.
Jakes Mario has online results while Dark wizzy and Zenyous mario dont. Stop saying Jakes mario is bad when he is one of the LAST good Wifi Marios out there in terms placements.. Do some research and stop assuming this MU on Yoshi is a win win. Kirby kid is just really researched in this MU. Both players are great.
A poorly designed character only in terms of how bad he is compared to (the majority of) other fighters in the game, the character’s moveset and playstyle is really fun tho
