SWTOR 7.0.1 Defense Guardian Guide 

Thank you for this guide, i've looked at several guides for this class and spec. this is the best explanation of the mechanics i've found

I recently started Guardian, thanks to combat styles being introduced. So far I'm running a defense guardian with the tankiest mods I could find for a preferred player. I currently hit decently hard and have a strong defense. I was surprised with the amount of AoE damage. Dude can nuke low spec ads.

I recently returned to swtor after 8 years away, I been looking into how tanking works in this game, i tanked a lot in ff14 been watching videos to see how much of that tanking experience transfers over to this game. looks like a lot of the same things apply with some minor differences

Only time I taunt as a dps is if I'm full health and tank is low on health. I usually run some self heals on my dps anyway so i can tank for a bit. just so it gives the healer time to focus the tank and get their health back up and they can tank again. I only use guardian leap in pvp such as when someone is being attacked or carrying one of the shiny things and going to the pylon, or when I'm coming back to the safe area when they blow up and someone is ahead of me. Or such as when someone has the huttball and I need to give them some protection.

I DID NOT KNOW that the UI was changed THIS much, OMG I need to return!!

I can flame the tanks as a dps because I play all 3 and know whats happening

What UI layout is this?

You have to show exactly what you are doing with a mouse, but for now i dont know this rotation and i give i dont like
