This is probably one of the cleanest and simplified removal and installation of a head unit for the forester and WRX that I've seen online full syou didn't take apart anything that wasn't unnecessary. I've seen a lot of people. Removing the airbag underneath the driver steering column. And I found that to be a little sketchy. Thankfully, you found a way easier method, but straightforward. A lot of mechanics will always say try to remove the least amount of things to get the job done!
I wonder if this is the one purchased on aliexpress? If so, can you do a video on just how the radio itself works? I just want to know if it is worth purchasing from that website.
Hey just wondering did you have issues with fitment? Like the top portion not clicking in? They told me to use a lot of force.. but I've been really pushing down and still wont go in. So I got this little gap at the top with the whole unit kind of sticking out . Still looks and works great tho
@@Kyumilli I did have to really push it in there, took some wiggling, but mine is in and mostly flush, there’s a small part where it’s not all the way in but it’s hardly noticeable.
Don’t you have to reuse that starlink unit? I thought it was the thinner module beneath the old head unit that is attached to the bracket. I didn’t see you attach that to the SYGAV bezel assembly. Let me know???
How do you turn those display lights on the side mine will let me select them element and light up but turns off is there a setting I’m supposed to turn on?
