First time watching was about to watch a movie saw the topic and decided to watch. This Young Lady is so full of wisdom. Every young women and men should watch this. This person you marry on your wedding day will absolutely change in 5 yrs, the body changes as well. The role each person plays. Folks don't understand this and that is why we have so much divorce. Folks don't understands the Assignment/ what is a marriage! Great conversation love this Lady.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

I love how relatable she is! I’ve been married for 32 years and I wish premarital counseling would have included the fact that we are marrying our future. That is so true. I’m glad she reminded me of that. Team work is absolutely necessary.

One of my favorite female vocalist next to faith ❤on a side note, I can go through the many changes of a relationship, I get that, if I love you I'm long-suffering, HOWEVER I will not under no circumstances deal with repeated disrespect, that's where I draw the line.

I believe too many people go into marriages for the wrong reasons and with the wrong mindsets. You should marry the person you love and are committed to growing with-through the peaks and valleys…and needless to say it should be mutual. We need to remember that there is no way for anything.Not every woman yearns for babies. All people don’t need to be parents (and sadly we witness it at times from the lack of good parenting). Lastly, though I believe that we were made to be in relationship, not everyone wants a romantic relationship either. And that’s fine. Some enjoy being single, especially if the relationship costs happiness, comfort, respect, peace or health. Some things just aren’t worth it.

One wouldn't have thought that Syleena would be a such a traditionalist concerning marriage. Needless to say, she is "preaching" here. Marital roles are not antiquated. They are age-old godly blueprints for success.

As a Christian, we are supposed to be set apart. We should love everyone and be a witness, but we are not supposed to walk with everyone. How can two walk together except they agree, says the Word of God. Be not unequally yoked, says the Word. We are also not supposed to make people think it is okay to worship just any higher power. As Christians, we are to win souls over to Christ. We can choose any faith, but we cannot say we follow Christ and then try to change the Word to fit the world's standards. We should find another faith if we cannot stand firm on Christianity.

She made a great comment, and answer that Ty always asks. He asks about the % of women filing divorce being higher than men. I was thinking that men would not file for divorce becaue like she said, a man not wanting to give up, lose, feel like he did not succeed. Some men may rather stay in a toxic relationship because of ego

When I was with the person I thought was gonna be my husband, I got the baby itch. But once he started showing me who he was after two years, the thought of having children left very quickly. I no longer have this urge since leaving him still. For me to want children, I’d need to be in a loving trusting safe environment/relationship. Other than that, I’m okay without family.

Thank you so much Syleena! I appreciate you sharing your story! You don’t know what it means to other women who married early, spent 20-30 years and relationships. Men jump right back in it- probably bc they were not ever committed but that’s a different show!!! My narcissique ex was a different person out of college and so immature and I didn’t set the right standards and boundaries that I should have early. Now I don’t want to date after that experience and will not even acknowledge anyone. I don’t think I ever will now! I wanted to be with one person forever but his behavior and actions and ignoring our autistic son showed me that he really didn’t love us bc he also was emotionally and became physically abusive. That was it!

When she mentioned marrying the person's changes I instantly knew that that's why I'm not married. I have a fear of change. I don't like the not knowing. I clearly have a control problem. I'm very self aware and guys know that about me but, I've been in 2 relationships that could've went to marriage but, I knew that I wasn't ready. I haven't Loved anyone enough to accept if they change. I may be unmarried the rest of my life but, I'm ok with that bc I don't want to waste my or anyone else's time and, I don't believe in divorce, for myself.

One thing wiser people never do just judge based on one story. Every story has 3 sides her side his side and the truth. To judge based on one side is immature. The average human being makes the story goes his way by controlling the narrative. I only take the advice from people who acknowledge that they were wrong because the other person isn’t there to tell his/her or side. We don’t always marry the wrong people most of the time we are the wrong people who marry the right people

Standards and boundaries are relative to one another. Standards are a level of quality or attainment. Boundaries are a line that marks the limits of an area; a dividing line...All is relative and necessary. For example, with boundaries you are putting up the perimeters to what behaviors you will accept to protect yourself. With standards your stating the qualities you seek in a partner that align with your internal truths. IE: I want a man who serves God, is a Christian. I want a man who wants a family, who is kind and has respect for others and self etc. Your standards can be based off character, they don't have to be shallow. But you need them, without them, you will join yourself to someone you are not equally yoked with.

Not everybody have that baby itch maybe the ones that had careers and was working and then like you said decided, and recognize when they walk in the house. It’s an echo their self But if you can call it that as you get older, and become a empty nester You get a itch not for a baby but for a companion or just to have somebody Once everybody’s gone, if you don’t already have a mate Because it can take some time getting used to being an empty Nester Especially if they move out of town and stop coming around so often 😅😅😅 but after 10 years of being by yourself, you get the thinking, and appreciating is really nice to come home in peace and quiet😅

She did state that her other ex was a good guy, they just werent compatible. Typically, relationships that go well, where women are being treated right by great men, don't end. Usually a woman will share or even brag about having been in that kind of relationship because great men are rare and hard to find.

@nikki7168
@nikki7168 3 месяца назад
@@jalisazari9387 I get that your statement may be the case for a small percentage. The majority of these situations (especially when guests discuss "hindsight") come across glaringly obvious and avoidable. The majority of relationships would be deemed unsuitable for marriage if we looked at some very practical factors: a person's faith and their discipline and adherence to it in all areas of their life (their ability to follow through and commit to their convictions), the family structure/environment they come from and what it perpetuates (if it was horrid...what active steps they've taken to get around healthier models), the kind of friendships they maintain, what they expressly state they want and how well their actions align with that and stay consistent over the course of the courtship. There are no guarantees in life, but a lot of the stuff I've heard wouldn't pass a basic patterns review--respectfully.
