oh man I was watching and I wasn't sure if this was the effect I was hoping for because I don't know the lingos, I started kind of ignoreing him and then I went to cubase and I left it running in the back and the noise kicked in at the perfect moment and it was awesome. I have to watch this now.

Omg so I'm a noob when it comes to production and I have been too afraid to mess around with sylenth's sounds. Now I regret that I didn't do it sooner cause I'm addicted to finding cool sounds! This is so awesome!

you can either automate the filter cutoff frequency in your synth plugin or in the autofilter plugin. go in to your arrange page and select it from the drop down menu on the right.

@jamessvev I'm pretty sure you do it in your DAW, for instance in Logic, you press A for automation in the arrange window and then you select on the left hand side what you want to automate and finally you draw it in.

@ElianGonzalex Both... i do tend to stack a few different sweeps....then you can sample those too... and on and on. its a real time saver to keep samples well organised

@DonalCr deadmau5 clearly has stated he does NOT use Sylenth. He uses SH-101 instead....

I've been wondering the same thing I think its just what synth your using cuz in reason thor its only like 8 bar rise. I guess theres ways to work around it but it's just a hassle

How could I get the sound to continue to rise in pitch past 17 bars? It stops rising at 17 bars.

You can get the most simple sounds out of any Synth on the market. Google for Free VST Intstruments. There are some available.. This Sylenth1 Synth he uses isn't for free.
