Yes, Dennis himself encompasses the teachings of his mentors and a couple of times mentioned Dr. John Sarno who coined the term TMS for Mind Body Symptoms. People who had MRIs showing physical abnormalities had no pain or symptoms at all. Once you address the emotions, the past, etc. by doing Dennis' program, the symptoms just fade.

I feel for you. I spent a lot of time alone in my childhood. Dennis has videos about intrusive thoughts that might be good to check out. I’ve been dealing with intrusive thoughts my whole life and still do. Getting a little space and relief from them is very helpful even if they still pop up. Mine have not gone away yet.

My anxiety has become clockwork. Every morning I wake up feeling grounded and perfectly fine. After I’m done doing whatever it is I need to do I begin to feel unreal and then comes stomach problems and I feel like I can’t breathe. I anticipate the anxiety even though I try not to and I tell myself that I’m fine and it’s just anxiety but I’m still having panic attacks every day. The feeling comes over me no matter what I do

Coming from a place of franticness , instead disinterest. And I like that you suggest having one idea to settle yourself instead of a million different things. Because a ruminating mind feels very crazy, along with symptoms like, weakness, tingling in the hands and feet, inner tremors, Muscles so tight … This results in one big ball of Crazytown. So just choosing one thought to go to when struggling with all these things sounds very helpful.

Dennis, can you shed some light on why some symptoms will come and go, but some are there every single day 24/7 and never let up. Example, i have had over 50 symptoms. Most just come and go, some have been there and never came back. However, the off balance/swaying feeling is always there. Every single day. The degree of it varies, some days its better than other days, some days its worse. But it never goes away. How can i work with this? I got a balance beam and have started using it to try and train on it, but wonder what else i can do. Thank you for your brilliant videos. You are so wise

Thank you for not only your an insight into your own time line but for sharing knowledge, so as we can all try to navigate this life. I had a stroke (3 small clots last July 23) out of the blue. A healthy woman of 44yrs. Thankful I'd never experienced anxiety up til then. This last period of time since then, has been trying to find something that would help me asap as it's an awful place to be trapped in. Using your knowledge and forming new habits, my life has got rosier. I'm kinda and ore compassionate to myself, that was the first hurdle. The rest is trusting g the body again and working with my inner child /chatter box (I have named them and collectively called the gang). Again thank you so much !

As you've mentioned previously, we all try and find solutions to what's happening in our bodies. My Drs have done all the tests and found no cause , was given the "just one of those things" as a diagnosis. I tried to find a reason as to why it happened as I needed a cause so as to fix it. However now learning to actually sit with the feelings and listen. I have gone from horrendous panic attacks throughout the day and and fearful of even knocks at the door, being on medication etc to being back at work, coming off those meds AND saying yes to more things. This has been hard work but now I know, I'm not alone and life is there to embrace 😊

I feel like my anxiety has been really bad lately. Basically doing everything that to help. My blood pressure just goes up really bad where I get the jitters and the shakes and the fear. I do take medication for high blood pressure and thought it was under control. I watch what I eat what I think try to exercise at least every other day. I never had all the health anxiety stuff. Also, I'm thinking it could be because I'm getting older.

Romanticizing and empowering my anxiety symptoms like some big chapter or section of my life has taught them that they belong, somehow. Having to experience the endless fatigue and sleepless nights makes it impossible to ignore or run from. So I'll settle on dispassionate awareness, it is only strong if I send it strength or feed it fear. Thank you for the learning experience.

If this is of any help, my mum had severe meniere's disease for decades. After many years she randomly went to see an alternative healer (not sure exactly what kind of healer), who told her that the meniere's was related to my mum's difficult relationship with her mum. My mum then subsequently, over time, stopped fearing the meniere's symptoms as much, and in time they all disappeared. So, in a sense, it was in my mum changing her response to the symptoms that was the cure for her. It was kind of like a miracle, from being bedbound to completely back to normal in a relatively short period of time. Wishing you a future of good health

Hi Dennis. I have a quick question. I have been out with my friends and still trying to live life so whilst I’m technically in the “present”, I don’t know how to let go in those moments when my body feels so scary like derealization and passing out, etc. I try to let go in those moments and focus on what’s going on in front of me but, can’t figure out how to. My body gets so worked up in a panic and I struggle to push through. Any tips for this?
@TheAnxietyGuy1
@TheAnxietyGuy1 Месяц назад
Yes, don’t mentally approach it, react to it. Instead, take a few moments at its peak to sit, stand, walk with it. Go directly towards it, it takes practice and persistence but this kind of response will help the body/inner child feel acknowledged, and comforted and guided.

Because I am so fearful of the anxiety itself I avoid experiencing it at all costs. I have found that as I continue doing this the anxiety and associated symptoms is getting worse and my world continues to get smaller. I realize now that I have to bring the anxiety in and start becoming dispassionately aware of it as much as possible. I can really see that you have lived through this and I appreciate you!

Gained weight. Chabged my mindset (somewhat) working on not worrying so much. I communicate more. I stopped showing fear and putting my foot down. I guess yhe throat anxiety (weird sensation in my throat that made me think im going to choke) was telling me i didnt feel heard. I still dont haha but i talk more. I communicate more. I am also more active, chabged my life style. Surrounded myself arounf better people and friends who listej and understand me. Chabge hour life, try not show fear. Talk to someone. Awareness as to where it comes from. Deep knot I live with on a constant. I sometimes don’t know how to begin to unravel the trauma. I remember my first attack, a very long time ago. I recall telling myself that our bodies are so smart that if you’re not on the right path, your body will paralyze you via anxiety, until you make the changes necessary. I had forgotten that lesson..and life has become longer and more complicated. I still believe that insight to hold truth, but I’m in it hard right now.

Not quite sure but I keep meeting these phony people online they claim their military or this or that. I have had good relationships in my life but seemed to have had a lot of weird experiences the last 4 years or so? At least I know how to check these people out online and immediately figure it out. I am very clear on what I want and I've done lots of personal growth work. I'm intelligent successful attractive etc

@@supdoed3 you go to beenverified and put in their email address and it will give all their social media, work, addresses etcetera history. There is also a website that has pictures of people that are scammers and have used these pictures.
