The import fails: You'll need to resolve these conflicts before importing the package Resource Sync SharePoint Online Calendar with Outlook Calendar Import setup Create as new Error Flow save failed with code 'DynamicOperationRequestClientFailure' and message 'The dynamic operation request to API 'sharepointonline' operation 'GetTable' failed with status code 'Unauthorized'. This may indicate invalid input parameters. Error response: { "error_description": "Exception of type 'Microsoft.IdentityModel.Tokens.AudienceUriValidationFailedException' was thrown." }'.

So it seems to fail because the sharepoint site and list is from your tenant and one has to redo these connections, but first need to save as new. Therefore one will never get to a success screen as shown in your import document. When doing the mapping the screens seem to be slightly different to what is on your video...also getting the following the errors:

Once I had completed all the reconnections I was able to test it. Couple issues on this flow: It doubles up the create event. I get two entries. The update doesn't not remove the event. Under the Update Event it says "ActionBranchingConditionNotSatisfied. The execution of template action 'Update_item' skipped: the branching condition for this action is not satisfied." Delete has the same issue "ActionBranchingConditionNotSatisfied. The execution of template action 'Delete_item' skipped: the branching condition for this action is not satisfied." Setting up the flow myself using the video produces the same issue as the update and delete above. Any ideas why?

Lui - thanks for this video. It was an amazing tutorial and it helped me set things up. I needed something just like this, but I added a condition to only pull in events with certain key words in subjects for a team SharePoint site.

Hi Lui, that was awesome and was really helpful for me. On top of it I tried making the update flow more simpler for me. In the updated case, I had my first action as "get items" and under that, I used a filter query where I compared my event identifier with the event identifier that I am getting from outlook action, and when the condition matches, I got the correct item from the SharePoint list and post that update item was my last action and and that’s how I made it more simpler. let me know if you see any gaps in this.

Yes, unfortunately it will not capture all events in a recurring event series.

I was able to improve it by using OData filtering in the Get Items EventIdentifier eq '@{triggerOutputs()?['body/id']}'

That is an excellent idea! I will consider creating a short update to the video to demonstrate this approach which would result in a more efficient flow. If I do this are you okay for you me to give you a shout-out in the video and share a snippet of your comment ?

Fairly confident I followed this verbatim. When I create a new item on the calendar - it creates two in my SP list. If i edit it, it updates one and leaves the other alone. Thoughts?

Thanks for a great tutorial. I'm trying to delete a recurring event, but I keep getting false in my second expression result when the item is going to be deleted. Is there a step/s that needs to be taken that I'm missing?

Thank you so much! This is super helpful. But I'm having a weird situation where the flow is running (successfully) twice every time it's triggered? And so items are appearing twice in the list. Any suggestions? Next up is categories and recurring events.

Hi mate! Great video, I got it setup and works quite well. Of someone edits the calendar from Sharepoint, with current logic, it wont write back to the Outlook calendar. Did you find a solution to this? Is there a way to make the calendar read only from the sharepoint side? Thanks again
@NeilFalzon
@NeilFalzon 11 дней назад
Since the SharePoint is receiving events from the outlook calendar it will not update it, that's how it is set in the Power Automate. You will probably need to set the trigger to update items FROM SharePoint TO Outlook Calendar. As for the read only, you should have site permissions for the SharePoint list/Calendar.

Awesome tutorial Luigi Iacobellis. Is it possible to extract only Out of Office events from Calendar into SharePoint lists?
@LuiIacobellis
@LuiIacobellis 2 месяца назад
Unfortunately out of office events are not a type. You'd need to build in additional logic to identify when an event is considered out of office

Hello! Thanks for this amazing video. Sadly my calendar list has one flaw when using this power automate flow. In fact, whenever an outlook event is added, the event is appers in the assigned SharePoint Site 2 hours earlier. Is there a solution to this? Or how can the flow add 2 hours more to the outlook event, so that this appers on SharePoint at the same time. Thank you in advance :)
@LuiIacobellis
@LuiIacobellis 25 дней назад
This is likely due to the time zone settings on your SharePoint site. You can configure the time zone from the site settings. Alternatively, you'd have to incorporate some logic in the flow to transform the date-time to the intended format.

Thanks Lui, I was SEARRRRRRCHING for this! Is there a way to take the assigned category and apply it as a choice in the SharePoint list? Also, how does it handle recurring events?
@LuiIacobellis
@LuiIacobellis 25 дней назад
Based on my testing, this will not work for recurring events. As for the category, that is not coming from the Outlook event itself, that is coming your account in Outlook. I've personally not tried to solution for this myself.

This flow doesn't cover existing Outlook events. You'd have to cancel and reschedule for it to be caught by this flow

are they across multiple days? perhaps your power automate is still using the default utc time, while sharepoint is using your local regional time?
