I have been watching these all day . I believe their is going to be a lot of stuff going up in my reverb store . I'm selling all my heads ,distortions and overdrives. The only one I'm keeping is my trainwreck Liverpool. I have a old marshall 2204s I bought when I was 15 it's even going to go along with some other . I'm getting that synergy 50 watt head and a bunch of these modules. I can't believe I'm just now discovering this . I really thought it was like some line6 bs but these are bad ass .

Could you try the module on the power amp section of the VH4 ?

I think the difference your hearing is the G12K Celestians most Diezel 2x12 and 4x12 use. They really respond to the deep control. That is basically what they call gain resonance. Boss uses it in algorithms. You can use it if you have the correct speakers. Diezel cabinets matter more than you think.

If I was Adam Jones I would have a synergy module/power amp, and a UA ox box just for practicing with in headphones. For writing and practicing. But you can’t beat the actual head.

Is that the real you in the beginning? ;) I'm interested in the Syn-2 so naturally I came here. Exceptional series, Henning. But something tells me if you had the chance to redo all of these module videos, this year would have been more 'blown up'. Your recordings all ramped up in 2018. The problem I had for many years was the input into my audio interface was a bit too weak, and this sterilized all of my recordings. It was pinpointed to 'circular panning law' within my DAW. This messes with the levels. Since going to 'triangular panning law' I can hit the interface harder, resulting in fuller recordings. I also use a lot more EQ in post. I have no tone complaints with Synergy. And I appreciate the modular concept... BUT there is but two channels and neither are programmable patches like a JMP-1 preamp, a Triaxis, MP1, or Rockman XPR. They're just two channel, instead of 128 patches. MIDI programmable patch changes would have sold me. The 5050 poweramp is probably cool, but there have been stereo poweramps in the past, like Mesa 2:90, VHT, Engl, Peavey, Marshall that were more than approximations, they were authentic output sections. If you used a Mesa power section, it can certainly be distinguished from the herd. That said, the new 1U form factor is appealing. The Syn-2 setup, as hard as I try to avoid it, sticks in my brain.

Ive never seen one of those before . Is that a wrist fanny pack? Is that for resting on the guitar?

Sounds good, but I'd say it's a tad hairier and less muscular than the real VH4. Them's the technical speaks.

I never noticed that before, but when you do 'Classic Metal' it kinda sounds like a mix of Manowar and Running Wild.

It sounds good. Just the VH4 has a bit more bottom end beef. But thats prolly because of fundamental power section differences with the Synergy power amp being squeezed into a one U space. No room for a high output transformer. I would do their modules but prolly not their power rack.

umm the Synergy VH4 bllue channel is channel 3 on the VH4 head and you needed to have that gain past 2 oclock

The Diezel uses KT77s in the power amp which could explain the "low-end". I would love to hear that synergy module with an Engl or Blackstar poweramp using KT88s 😍.

Did I understand this right? Did you say you are testing an ANALOG pre-amp module, the whole point of which is that it's the REAL THING and better than SIMULATION AND MODELLING, and then running it through a cab SIMULATOR on your PC?

Its sounds exactly like a Diezel VH4 sounds if you take away its balls.. I dont understand how these things are marketed thou, are they supposed give the sound of the respective amp or are they supposed to give something close-ish ? So far imo this one was the farthest from the real thing.

The vh4 is sort of muddy and the vh4 module isn’t. It’s like it gets rid of everything wrong with the vh4.

ive noticed i really dont like the synergy power amps.

All the high gain synergy modules sounds the same no matter how you tweaked it. Disappointing. Now its heading all on ebay. It never had the feel of my jp2c and jvm not even close. But when u mike it, it can but it had a crazy mid sound i hate a lot... Sorry synergy not living to the hype
