Syphilis serology explained is the 3rd syphilis video in this short syphilis series. This episode will explain the tests that diagnose syphilis with particular attention to the serology or blood tests.
The main blood tests are the antibody tests (EIA), Treponema pallidum particle agglutination assay (TPPA) and the rapid plasma reagin (RPR) test. This video will explain how these tests are interpreted, what to look out for and how to treat.
Please remember to watch my other videos on syphilis to improve your understanding of the natural history of the disease.
I hope you enjoy and if you do please like, subscribe and share.
Thank you and have good sexual health.
