Fought Demons with Pure Infantry! Gonna show Mordian Glory who has the best pure infantry. Hope you all enjoy the report If you want to support me on Patreon: patreon.com/CommanderNearsigh...
I have a friend who has been playing mostly-Infantry Tau since just before the 9th Edition Tau Codex came out, and I can agree that its really underrated. He has it because I had a lot of bodies from a 3rd party kit I had (Wargames Atlantic German WW1 infantry) and I made him a bunch of "Human Conscripts" with extra bits from his 2 Fire Warrior boxes. He ended up with like 4 total Strike teams and 2 Breacher Squads basically for the price of 2 and a half Fire Warrior boxes, so he is happy. Just those alone are 500 points even, so plus some Pathfinders, some Kroot, a pair of Fireblades, and an Ethereal, thats 3/4ths a list. Overall its a lot of mid strength firepower with a surprising punch from those Railguns. Guardian drones also make every unit that can take them surprisingly durable, too. His breachers have yet to do anything, though. No Devilfish really cucks them hard with their measly 10" blaster range. I think in 4 games he has gotten 1 of his Breachers shooting in 1 of them.
great timing, i have an event in a couple of week with a very similar list except i have longstrike and a hammerhead in there for the much needed anti tank, also a cheeky squad of vespids for scoring and being general scoundrels. but yer also a no suits list bar shadowsun its actually turned out to do quite well in practice games and a lot of fun.
Sick video I really liked it we are at the gates of 1k I’m not a tau expert but I don’t think bringing breachers without transports is the best option but I can see why you have them in your list for close combat I especially liked how you showed pictures kind of like mordion glory it helped me visualize a lot
Thank you! And the lack of transports is why they were in reserves. You know so that they could show up and deal their damage before they get killed. And thanks for the praise. I was inspired by Mordian Glory
Nice to see a list that isn't just take all crisis with cib. I am so sick of every tactics video or teir discussion being just crisis are the bestest ever ( I do like crisis I just like variety)
I feel you there. I once did pure crisis suits but then it felt too much like a feel bad for the opponent. That's why I like the wacky and unorthodox or fluffy experiment T'au lists now.
@@CommanderNearsightfacts, with our FTGG split fire penalty it doesn’t make sense to have mixed loadouts in a unit. Each unit really needs to be specialized. But I guess pathfinders are one of our 3 intended observers
@@CommanderNearsightwith pathfinders and coordinate to engage. Could they guide one unit, and shoot their regular rifles into them, and then pick their second unit to guide into a second target, use coordinate to engage to gain guided into each?
