The cars in front could’ve turned right, hence the light may have been orange. Obviously, there was doubt otherwise her insurance company wouldn’t have paid him. She should have seen him and not hit him, regardless of the green light.

Not true, at least not in California, and I'm pretty sure that is the case everywhere in the U.S. If the light is yellow when you enter the intersection, it doesn't matter if it turns red while you are already in the intersection; you own that intersection until you have completed through it (unless of course you have to stop in the middle due to traffic, in which case you entered the intersection illegally). Red light cameras activate if a car ENTERS the intersection after the light is red, not if it exits on the red. It's the same with the police giving a ticket (why would the two be different? The law is one way or the other).

That’s true, Well in misery I mean Missouri. I got a ticket for that once when I was a teenager.

@@Geronimo2Fly and the camera and police have the same standard, they just do it at different times. If the law is that it's a violation to exit the intersection if it's red and a camera catches you entering at red then you're obviously also going to exit the intersection on red. The reason red light cameras don't catch the far end of the intersection is because they are connected to and activated by pre-existing sensors used for traffic lights and those sensors are obviously on the near side of the intersection to detect stopped cars. All this information is available on Google.

I think it's because only Plaintiff said he had the right of way. The Defendant disagreed and the witness agreed that the light was anything but green.

The plantiff changed his testimony. When describing the wreck he said he had cars in front of him. He then said he didn't. Even the judge questioned that part, to Douglas I think. Go back and listen. Its when she comes off the bench towards the end.

His insurance company is there to mitigate damages "he" may be responsible for Those are distinct insurable interest.... We buy insurance as a transfer of Risk "to" the Insurance company instead of us.... His negotiations for "his" loss from them ( aka their insurance company) is a totally separate issue from his insurance company's responsibility to cover his Risk of paying out.....2 different things They will likely lose because again as someone mentioned he should have had his I/C defend against the suit but this guy is a bit clueless and didn't realize once the counter was filed he could have had them ( his I/C) handle it....again because the possibility of Financial Risk, has been Transferred to them....that's what Premiums do....unfortunately a lot of ppl don't quite understand how insurance actually works 😉 That's why he didn't understand his case was lost before he showed up, he had effectively contractually agreed the matter was over....PC just has to have content in a real court his case would been tossed in 15 seconds

That being said, the plaintiff was an idiot and deserved it. He changed his tune about people going ahead of him, and that said everything that needed saying. Lol
