Dude, just show your antenna is outside. A simple Google search, it took me a whole three minutes to get your address. Nobody cares where you are. We come to the channel to look at the Tech.
I have that same G4SE and it’s gotten worse and worse over time. You can’t turn off WiFi 5GHz radio now or it bricks API access. It constantly gets text messages from spammers which you can view on the little LCD (why??)… it’s slow. It reboots slow. It loses 5G bands randomly and won’t latch onto 5G following a reboot (have to manually eject & reinsert SIM). The physical design of it is stupid and ugly. Just ordered a Spitz 3000x.
So we are at a location where just a mile or 2 makes all the difference. We're getting between 150-250mbps currently, but about 2 miles away I've tested over 600. Do you think this antenna will help get those higher speeds? Also, I heard you have to change it in settings to use external antenna? Asking because 2 of the buttons on the gateway don't work, so would have to get it replaced (don't see option within app to change).
Thanks bro great video. I bought the Quad Mini without the window kit stuff because I knew my goal was not to install outside my house. I bought it to optimize a decent matrix. I am very satisfied. At $120 you would not be disappointed knowing your setup if finished and complete. I’m not from NY but may I say… DO IT!!! 👍🤣
I have the gateway with T-Mobile If I buy the quad mini do I need to have it outside my house? Or can I have it indoors? Dumb question but I’d rather ask now then waste money but I know mini is worth it haha
@@HUERITO818 - I did not get a better signal moving it outside my house at 6 ft off the ground. And I have Anderson windows so the signal inside my house was NOT better in front of the window, but it was better inside facing the outside wall. Your question is a good one. You obviously are getting a good signal with your TM router, but if you are wanting to have the better consistent signal available regardless of the time of day, it is my clear opinion you will not achieve any more a optimized stable signal than with this nice $120 setup. My wife asked me the same question and I told her what I’m telling you. It worked for me, and I no longer think I have the better optimized signal, I now know I do. Hope this helps. 😊
@@HUERITO818 - So I got the Quad Mini Indoor for $120 bcz I knew I wanted it placed indoors so that’s what I did. The $200 Quad Mini is an outdoor setup - you get the same indoor antenna and antenna holder and a 3 foot cable BUT you also get the window pass through ribbon cable and a long 10 maybe 20 foot cable so you can mount it outside for the additional ( 120 + 80 = 200 ) money. You can take your TM router outside you house and see if it warrants mounting the Quad Mini outside vs mounting the Quad Mini inside. My ‘test’ was it didn’t matter, so I just went with the indoor $120 setup. 😊
Hey thanks man for the info. I just recently got talked into getting T-mobiles home internet by one of their sales reps at the store. I was a long time loyal customer with xfinity but I HAD to cut ties from the many lies and broken promises so getting sold to the T-mobile home internet was very easy and I thought to myself damn! I should've switched a long time ago regardless after being excited with the new white model 5G gateway I go home and follow the instructions download the internet app and to my surprise I was sadden to see that I could not get anything more than AWHOOPING 2,7 Maybe 3 mbps and I tried everything called customer support all they could tell was that everything looks good on their end and that something about engineers are working to better the connection so for to hang in there I would informed when all the upgrades are running at full tilt so do not cancel there will be a significant improvement. Now I can't do shit like even watching your video right now it pauses to buffer and I'm not even using 720 or 1080 or higher HD so Im pissed and ready to cancel until I watched your video so there is hope for me after all I just need to get that external antenna, correct?
Did anything get better for you? I have had this internet for 2 years and all of a sudden it’s problem city over here. T-Mobile has told me things will get better for 2 weeks now after some “tower upgrade” and the only time I can usually access the internet now is between the hours of 11pm and 4am. If I had a better replacement I would have left already.
Try doing the compare with the antenna just hanging outside so the glass and window coating doesn't interfere. I've got the same antenna in a rural area 2.5 miles from the tower, I get 10-30Mbps download through my window but when I have the antenna outside I get 300-700 Mbps.
@@gg80108 Mostly true, I got the same download speed with the external but higher upload speeds inside with the external antenna. The main problem I have with the T-Mobile gateway is that it prefers the N41 band over the long range N71 band even with a "weak" signal. N41 is around 1Mbps upload (sometimes well under 1Mbps) and the N71 is 30-40 Mbps upload with a "weak" signal.
High-performance LowE window coatings & window screens can cause the interior located modems or antennae to drop off by 85%+. External antenna location is imperative for consistent high speed T-mobile service.
@@TheJabberTechhow do you compare spectrum to T-Mobile? T-Mobile home internet is deprioritized. Can you tell me an advantage T-Mobile has over spectrum?
Thanks Jabber. Really want T-Mobile, new white modem, to work. Would the 2x2 Waveform Mimo for $99 work with this new unit? Advantages with the more expensive ones?
@@TheJabberTech any tips? No diddy hahaha I don’t wanna return it but damn brotha 😅 I’m not even reaching 100mbs on download or 20mbs on upload haha I guess I have good internet but I wanted your type of numbers haha
I mean did you even watch the video. Did plenty of speedtests with antenna 📡 higher quality of signal doesn't always equate to faster speeds but mine all say excellent except SINR
@@TheJabberTech but what are your scores example what is your signal to noise ratio what is your reference signal received power not just those five pink bars on the screen that don't mean anything
