@@ultraboy2669 They all seem unpleasant in some way. The daughter is a liar, as is the mother, who I seriously think she's hiding something, though perhaps not the stereotypical affair. The father, oof, his need to defend his daughter and wife speaks to a desperate, to be blunt, simpish character, who's probably being played like a fiddle by all those around him.

Given his overexaggerated reaction actually understand the wife's standpoint to a certain degree, especially if I assume she isn't lying about bein not aware of the age gap.

Seeing he was serving drinks in the usa most states and even cities require you to be 21 to bartend so she should have assumed he was 21 not 18.

A 16 year old can legally drink wine, with a meal in a restaurant setting, if adults are present (UK) You cannot purchase alcohol at all until 18 years. Pubs like weather spoons who have tables for food mixed in with the general drinkers do not allow alcohol under the age of 18 at all...

Can't drink in bars but with a meal with parental consent and at home they can.
