@@aikentangikr 😂 I mean he's the face of the game for a long time 😅 Zeus seriously stepped up to the challenge ... Guma didn't had the chance to show his mechanics sadly hahaha everyone has been doing so well that series
It was an appropriate translation, though not a direct one. The caster was kinda too excited and all over the place. A more direct translation of what he tried to say based on the words he used would be, "Basically don't we have the unprecedented Rome-Hyeok, where all roads lead to him?" He used the word 전무후무 for unprecedented, meaning 'never happened in the past, never will happen in the future'
@@Trippinzzthis is such a lazy take. You are making your assessment based on results. There is a reason why aatrox was opened. It didnt work out in their favor in the end but you talking based on results alone. ‘’Because he was playing well with X champion, you should have banned the champion or else you are bad at drafting’’ is such an illogical take.
Bro have you not watched any other T1scord thie whole 2 years? Its been like this for a while. They are just putting meshing better in how they play out fights and where to be.
@@user-iw4dh4ie1o Well, "skinheaded" can be misinterpreted due to political associations, especially in Europe, but it should be fairly easy for the other person to understand that this is literally about shaving WBG bald with Gwen's scissors and at worst a slightly off-beat translation decision.
He was already set up in the bush to zone, he used Guma as bait and since they burned too much trying to catch the Kalista, Faker knew its an easy clean up for them.
WBG have a very short window to kill Aatrox there (probably still a lost fight for WBG) and I do believe they could have succeeded with better Azir-Belveth synergy. Belveth is their only damage through the yet unprocced Mawshield from Aatrox but Azir R, while CCing Aatrox, also shoves him away from Belveth E and her potential last AA's. Azir and Kennen can't kill Aatrox with Maw after that. Faker casually calls it while it happens, crazy.
@@demitrees mistranslation of korean. He was saying "he won't die" but not like "i know he will survive" but like "omg he's not dying" or "he's unkillable" Zeus already absorbed everything by the time he said that. He was commenting on Aatroxs' stupid innate lifesteal.
Keira’s roar of excitement Oners happy smiles Zeus almost tearing up Fakers instinct to celebrate but then applauding his young team Guma focused until the end
The comms were splendid, but what really impressed me was their drafting. The players themselves were so prepared that they could accurately make reads and picks without needing a coach to provide input. That shows excellent work from both players and coaching staff pre-series, confirmed with all the scrims reports. Just great stuff.
behind the scenes keria is always participating in draft planning with the coaching staff. you can always hear keria in drafting phase telling the team predictions of picks and counters.
tbf meta was and is absolute trash, there is literally 5 champs for each position and there is priority for them, top was just picking atrox yone every single fking match
Now now, "without a coach" is not true. They have Tom, he researched so much with their enemy's games and he crafted the drafting picks for this series and was able to accurately predict the enemy picks and bans. It was in the interview. You don't give much credit to Tom, it's not the players who impacted the drafting phase, but it's Tom.
@@Frey_00 Did you by chance just happen to miss the whole line where I said "excellent work from both players and coach pre-series," or are you purposely misinterpreting what my point was?
One thing I saw on T1 as their improvement is, no matter who they are against, they don’t underestimate them anymore. They don’t put their guard down and play every game as their last. Good job, T1!
Prob thats what happened last year after game 1. They completely destroyed drx in game 1, and a lot of fan thought this gonna be an easy 3-0. However, when they let their guards down, drx got the win and that prob impacts their performance since they thought it gonna be an ez 3-0 too
@@PhucNguyen-ut4dt yeah that game 2 is really on them... they literally have the tools to win that game but they drop the ball with that atrocious baron play
Terrifying that this team is sticking together. Their synergy is off the charts after this worlds, I’m looking forward to seeing how strong they’ll be come spring
And on top of that is kkOma, no freaking way. Their one and only kryptonite (GEN) has been disbanded, the only threat I see right now inside LCK is HLE 😂
well the org has good management and relationships with staff and players, players did grow with this roster just having 1 worlds won isnt gonna cut for them to disband. the team really work hard to hold the roster together.
The T1 players couldn't even comprehend and believe that they were winning. Normally, after an ace, you know you win, but for them, because of all those 2nd place finishes, they couldn't even understand the feeling they were going through at that moment. Just wholesome and show their love for the game and how their feelings throughout those 2 years helped motivate them
young is relative - Keria has more international experience than nearly any veteran (MSI 2020 groups, MSI 22 finals, MSI 23 semis, worlds 2020 quarters, worlds 21 semis, worlds 22 finals, worlds 23 finals, asian games finals)..
The silence was so much more noticeable in Game 2, when Weibo KNOW that they're just no match, sad to see, really. That's just pure depression G2 comms as well, on their loss to NRG and BLG. Each game, they grow more silent :(
Dude Keria is just soooooooooooo valuable to a team. He literally is the best sup in the world + basically coaches the team in game alongside Faker at the same time. God I love watch him play and hearing his coms.
Their comms are incredible. Efficient, calm, focused, adaptable. Nothing unnecessary, fully supportive and respectful of each other, always a positive tone that sheds the possibility of negative/toxic elements like a duck's feathers shed water. Not only should every professional league team be looking at emulating this, but there are lot of people in professional environments who could learn a lot from these guys.
T1 Comms: I think we have advantage. This will be a good 5v5. Watch out for Maokai Ult. Literally every other team: AZIRAZIRAZIRKAISAKAISAKAISANOULTTAHMBARONBARONBARON
2:37 Is this what Oner was talking about in his stream where he said they told Zeus he's gonna get ganked so he has to be careful but still died "joyfully" even with the warning? 😅
Its very impressive how they fixed their communication issues from the first half of the year. It was to the point where players didn't even want to play together anymore, but they somehow found synergy and cleared up every one of those problems at the end of summer & going into worlds.
The players grow so much after their loss last year vs DRX. They knew they were so much better than Weibo, but they had to stay calm. What a relieved and heart warming win for this roster. Well deserved!
He was on sylas duty for maokai disengage and he wasn't having too much fun but you gotta admit the sylas pick was immaculate to nullify the maokai everytime maokai tries to engage he steals the ult back and reults a maokai ult into the same direction
@@bringas3764 GEN studies T1 so much they became T1's kryptonite. Unfortunately, the more they focus on T1 the harder they fall back in international stage 😢
@@Izanami04 ye actually Gen really did its job on T1. But they forgot other teams exist. Let’s see what will happen with GenG new roster and coaching staff
There's something deeper within watching these voice comms that make me want to learn how to be better in team environments not just for video games but how to apply it to other aspects of life. There was just something absolutely beautiful and artistic about how they maintained their composure even when, like in game 3, the early game wasn't going their way. I could probably write a full report/essay on how amazing and in unison T1 was, down to the very last minute detail.
Remember when guy in chat said "T1 is fantastic, they just need to work on communication, map awareness, laning, vision control, csing, poking, landing skillshots, objective control, early game, mid game, late game, ganking, and getting kills." I think Faker took that a bit too serious
Man that "The flower that blooms on the cliff's edge is the most beautiful" i got tearjerk in that line knowing that this maybe their last play together as a team and the way they end the whole tournament
TMI) Zeus said he didn’t know what to get for his 4th item on Yone because every scrim he played with Yone, they stomped the opponent. So he asked Faker and Faker suggested Bloodthirster
Korean casters are on another level lmao. "The barber shop is open" lmao. I can't think of anyone else in the English scene as fun except maybe the Doa and Monte duo
They drafted everything… i’m speechless, such a great team. Their comms really show how they work great together, each player has his role and works like a well oiled gear for the team’s success.
Oner is probably the tournament MVP, stepped up massively. Finals MVP for Zeus is acceptable because he did pop off in that sense (with help from Oner of course)
Yep. Zeus definitely deserved series MVP due to the way he controlled the game with those leads, and the way he exerted those leads, but credit due to Oner for stepping up the entire tourney.
None of the games are 1v9 lol. 1v9 means you are carrying despite your team playing like shit. T1 members set up a lot of stuff for zeus even if he did carry when he was ahead so deserved mvp.
Amazing comms from T1. Last minutes were really emotional for me as a long-time T1 fan. This roster went through more heartbreaks than any other T1 before so this win is maybe the sweetest! So happy for all of them, still watching recaps and it's been a month+ since worlds.
Even the casters said that the emperor has returned. I had hoped Faker would choose Azir skin because the line - Shurima, your emperor has returned - could be changed to fit Faker's return to the top properly. Alas, it is not to be. He chose Ahri. Anyhow, it's scary that T1 read WBG draft like a book. They know WBG picks even before they lock it. I mean sure there are meta champs but to accurately predict it and have the perfect counters for it. Scary man.
Skins already confirmed, and I don't think riot would've liked 2 azir worlds skins back to back (Last year there was Azir Worlds Championship 2022 skin)
It is a scary but also beautiful communication , the guys just predict nearly everything the ennemy team gonna do and just hard punishing them. They have been on the rift a long time for sure this game as no secrets for them.
Aside from T1s raw mechanical skill the one massive thing that sets them apart from their contemporaries is their cohesion and methodical approach to the game.
T1 really destroyed the whole LPL. Itsa back to back to back to back matches against the LPL and only lost 1 game, and its to their 1st seed. T1 maybe weak to its LCK counterparts (probably all LCK just researched and readied against T1 LOL) but T1 just showed they are the LPL's kryptonite. T1 just dismantled their whole region. Now, will LEC come back up to become the LCK's kryptonite again or become as low as the LCS?
only 2018 and 2019 was LEC year and almost win it all but they trash it. there’s noway again for LEC to be kryptonite of LCK. since LCK is growing now every year. even LPL hiring some koreans just to beat LCK. now we consider it that the best region was Korea. now i feel it that nxt year worlds champ will be in LCK or korea again. since T1 all rosters are coming back.
As faker who once played as qiyana and use a whole combo on Perkz yasuo with GA and steraks, him saying Zeus isn’t gonna die with maw activated has to be an experience thing
I was intrigued why Zeus, as Faker said, wouldn't die. After replaying it a bit, I think it was 2 things, belveth had used all her abilities and casted e to try and execute aatrox since e dealt more as hp is lower. However, azir shoved the aatrox away belveth, and belveth had like half more of the duration of her e, which might have killed the aatrix. 2nd, Light was actually not in the play, he had bork and rageblade built with half of wit's end. If he was there I think it was safe to say aatrox would've surely died. So, maybe wbg should have delayed the fight a bit even tho t1 was on their tail? What are your thoughts? Cheers.
It is stupid to criticize Faker just because he said, "This is no fun" Faker is the most experienced player, and he is a player who can judge the difference in skills with the opponent team in a cold manner no matter how important the stage is. That is something Faker is really good about, not something to criticize. This is like criticizing Faker when he was smiling when the team was losing 0-2 in the 2013 Summer finals. Faker beat his opponent 3 to 2 to win the title. When Faker was caught smiling, CloudTemplar, who was watching the game with his teammates at the dorm, said to his teammates that he was a lunatic and should become like him.
A big part of their success in this series and the tournament is how effective they are at getting *something* even when a play goes against them; someone dies in a gank and they get plates on the other side of the map, lose a fight for herald but secure the next drag, etc. It feels like Faker's injury absence forced the other members of the team to be a lot more aware of those sorts of things without him around to point them out, and so they were able to do them without as much communication - or delay.
@@Izanami04did you not read any of their interviews. T1 was struggling with meta reads early, as most of their teammates were in Asia games. Prep was little.
The “salon is open again” is because Gwen was owning that game and her weapon is scissors. The caption for “you look good skinhead” was sort of a mistranslation lol Koreans call a short haircut a “sports cut” and cloudtemp was basically egging on the Gwen saying that’s what she’s giving them. Of course lots of humor is lost in translation but listeners used to cloudtemp love that kind of humor from him and it’s funnier from him given his caster persona. And of course Caster Jun and cloudtemp have good synergy and whenever cloudtemp gets unhinged Jun encourages it and hops on his jokes 😂
I give props to Coach Tom and the staff (Roach). I remember Guma talking about how well Coach Tom predicted the opponent's draft and prepared the team through multiple draft scenarios. Also, Keria put a lot of time into understanding draft strategies and preparation. Add all that with how knowledgeable every player is on T1, I felt like T1 entered a lot of matches with a leg up on their opponent. I just hope KKoma and Tom can continue that high level of preparation
I am just wondering I hope you could answer me who is exactly doing the draft? Is it the payer or the coach cuz havent heard any of the coach to player coms in this kinds of videos
Both in a tournament setting it's always better to have the coach present the bigger picture to the players and have the players share their input or opinions instead of just agreeing to the coach outright which makes it a team effort on drafts that takes into account, picks, counter picks, and the player's versatility and comfort to play the said champ that is what the meta is on.
Coach is discussing strategies, among other things, which is edited out of the video. For obvious reasons. The players react to the draft accordingly with the knowledge the coach provides.
