Nah, she was worried for Usato first, then flabergasted at his quick recovery, then just plain irritated at how casually he treated something that was a big deal for her (revealing her name). She sees him as an unsually kind person with monstrously unreasonable power. Rose, however, just terrifies her. She is an eldritch drill sergeant of pure nightmare. How Usato stands up to her scares and confuses her.

You know, I feel like Rose has really grown to like this type of banter she has with Usato I mean, if it was when he had just arrived and was still training with her at the beginning, she would have thrashed him even if he didn't change the subject, but he immediately changed it and she didn't violently hurt him this time.

She wasn't just looking for healers. She was looking for someone who could keep up with her and not _die._ That not only requires healing, but an unbreakable spirit. Usato might get afraid and stumble, but he doesn't give up or break. Rose in some form or another loves Usato. He is tied into her life pretty hard just by her choices alone. After what happened in her past, she couldn't have a real teammate anymore. Just subordinates. Usato is her new right-hand man and the one likely to take up her mantle when she manages to die or retire.

Remember that scene in Fairy Tail’s Edolas arc when Natsu went charging off after getting his magic drained, only to come back looking like he saw the beginning of the apocalypse cause he saw the two Erzas dueling? If Mereoleona and Rose were to fight, I’d imagine Usato and Yami doing something very similar to that.

Now that I think about it this anime is one of the lightest in this season with regards to fan service the only revealing outfit is worn by a demon commander girl which didn't have much of a screen time anyways.
