Ammeter guage shows overall charging system volts, live. As in if the alt/gen are on, and providing volts, or not, and showing "discharge". A Voltmeter guage shows volts (Usually in Alternator systems, vs Generators) in the positive for an alternator system.
@@Chickeneyegarage I looked too and I think I'm sh*t out of luck. I think 6 cylinder tachs are as rare as unicorns and even if I do find one I dont think they'd work with my HEI. I've seen aftermarket short sweep tachs that I wonder if they could be gutted and fit in the dash🤔
@@maggs131 you could run an ignition box if you wanted. I did a video if you haven’t seen it but it works with the tach I got. I have a pertronix and you can select different cylinder options. Maybe an option for you
@@Chickeneyegarage what's weird is the aftermarket one that came clamped to my column worked on the points system and I didn't give compatibility a second thought and it worked fine with the hei I just changed over to
@@maggs131 I wonder if the tach I have would work with a 6 cylinder. Why would they specify that it doesn’t work with hei but not say whether it works for 6 cylinder or not.
