I was 15 in the 90s and a classmate wore one of these to school. First time I set my eyes on a Tag Heuer. Amazing watch. At £350 I would pull the trigger. Would have made a great gift for my 11 year old boy. I'm buying a Tissot Seastar instead for him. This would have been a great starter for Tag to gain a new young fan.

I bought the original version for 80 bucks at an auction on eBay back in 2019. My dad had this watch back in the 90’s and this model is what got me into watch collecting.

There are many choices un the industry I just don't get. This is easily the most head scratching release I've ever seen. It's almost as if Tag thought ''some of that Moonswatch money would be nice'' and Dave who makes the tea said ''my mate Trev has a T shirt shop''. Then to make it cheap they thought they'd use an unidentified quartz movement, but then decided not to actually be cheap. Then despite the decades passing and tastes changing, they went with a tiny watch resembling a Ben 10 watch.

ive got the original , it stopped before last Christmas, had a new battery ,fine, ,,, then it stopped 2 months later, sent it back and //?// sorry can't repair watch, the crystal had "blown" and we don't make the module-movement any more.. Em see above , yep u F-cking do. .. it was a 21st birthday pressie, cost£295. I adore it. I might have another go at getting it repaired now

It is quite admirable that you’ve actually tried to go ahead with a reasonable review. The part where you start rubbing your head is however probably the most appropriate response. If TAG had release this on the 1st of April, we would all have known instantly it was a joke.

Somewhere, probably in London Davide cerrato is on his knees with tears in his eyes looking upwards and thanking God for the miracle this has just come his way, it was impossible that any other watch company could do something bad enough to take the fire away from bremont, tag said “ davide don’t worry we are about to humiliate ourselves so badly people will actually forget about you, when the people in the shops open the boxes and see what we are asking them to sell, the look on their faces will be absolutely priceless. my mother used to describe some things as “ an insult to peoples intelligence” I think this garbage tag has unveiled is well and truly fitting for that remark.

To be fair, this probably isn’t for the mainstream collector, but someone who likes KITH. Most of the 10 piece collection boxes are already spoken for, so a complaint by your average watch enthusiast is probably irrelevant..

@@WatchYourselfJorge I am sure you are aware the vast majority of the revenue in the watch industry comes from non-enthusiast. These are businesses at the end of the day. They will do whatever to meet their KPIs and it seems they are going to completely sell out as soon as they hit the market.

@@UserKR13 from my understanding the Kith tie in is just cos the owner of Kith liked this watch when he was younger. That's it. The whole reason for the tie in.

1) not upgraded, made with original moulds in the same factory, plastic applied to steel cases. 2) Obviously a dry run for a production model 3) Kith is the worlds premier F1 collector 4) The originals are £3/400 all day long on ebay.

If I was to guess, I would say it's to do with the Tag brand and it's association with F1. Tag was (and still is) associated with F1. A bit shit if I'm honest.

@WatchYourselfJorge yeah 100%, ruining the tag heuer branding is sacrolige. If they wanted to charge more, then add some carbon fibre or something cos of the f1 connection
