Tahoe Rim Trail Day 6 | Tahoe City to Fontanillis Lake (Desolation Wilderness)

Big day on trail! I spent the morning hiking along the TRT back to the PCT, where I was quickly met by PCT NOBO thru hikers, day hikers, section hikers and more. One hiker, Legend, is an infamous trail angel who gave me a ton of trail magic back on the PCT in 2016. The evening would take me into Desolation Wilderness, where I came across two bears, many lakes, and a million mosquitos before making camp. Less than 20 miles to go on the TRT!
