True, but Kimura and ippo, they were weighted down by their classes so were never know, but yes Takamura worked the hardest and was called the most strongest active boxer.
@@alterjacobIppo has natural physicality fit for a hard puncher while Kimura besides being technically competent as an outboxer (his jabs were considered to be the best amongst the Kamogawa crew during Ippo's first defense) is pretty average all around, but both are hard workers that used up all their fire and left with only white ashes
@@VITAS874he was allowed some nutrients so that he wouldn't die but he basically just removed all the water in his system. Also humans can go without water for a week and more for some cases
@@VITAS874 if you are a pro you can live without water like 1 week or almost 2 week i once a saw some boxer in my city didnt drink any water fro like 10 days to lose 5 kg
One thing I don't miss about fighting, the weight control. I would have dreams about drinking milk and orange soda. You fight for every pound so I would chew gum so I could spit into a cup. By the end you can't even stand up straight because you're so dry. The only thing worse than weight control is losing.
@@bruhallmyhomiesknowispain4764 Because very few people do that. What you will get is a heavier, stronger guy who cuts weight and then puts a lot of it back on before the fight. You fight at your natural walking around weight (say 145lbs), he will probably drop 20 from his walking around weight and come in from 165.
im not a boxer, but i feel takamuras losing weight struggles as i was and still am loosing weight and fat, its not the 10kg that its hard to get off its the last 2, shotout to takamura for beeing a role model❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥
Fr man I just got into boxing and I’ve been cutting bc I started at 270 just not eating as much and watch everything you putting in your body I did a 4 day water only fast to break my attachment to food bc that’s how I got there 😂 and it’s only easier from there I’m at 245 rn and it’s been like a month and a half in
The hard part about boxing is not the match itself, it's the hellish training and weight control they put through. Those training and weight cuts both affect them mentally and physically . Boxing is about 30 percent physical and 70 percent mental. You need to have a strong mentality to endure hard training and weight control in order to go far in boxing.
@@adityannairfybscitb2656 Joe literally had to make a blood test to lose the last 200g needed to go in the right weight division for the match, do you know what 200g worth of blood is? At 100g worth of blood taken from your veins you already fall unconscious, now imagine twice that.
The implications of such drastic weightloss on personality and mind overall is way more than it appears on the body.. Very few who themselves have experienced how it feels when you workout empty stomach at dangerously low energy levels and overall weight.. You're actually dying and you feel that as everything you've known around you becomes estranged slowly including yourself You become a stranger to yourself even though everything is the same Still you can't let go of your motive if you do there's nothing to live for Then you slowly build yourself back up in that very state.. You effectively learn to live and breathe through death.. You end up finding yourself And trust me you're an absolute champion of life after that Big body small body no body you're the winner!
Hajime no ippo deserves main stream recognition. Definitely top 5 anime's of all time. Very relatable, in terms of wanting to become a Great Fighter. 💯👍🏽
Hawk would have left his soul on that ring. But Takamura traumatized him so much that he became a broken, mentally ill human being, he can barely live his life and the simple evocation of Takamura's name is enough to give him traumatic flashbacks, so he isn't dead but his spirit definitely has been killed.
In boxing match, you have to fight at a contracted weight range. He was above the limit so he had to lose weight including water weight by dehydrating himself
It’s 2 days left until the tournament and I’m 2 kilos more than I need to be, it’s 11:11pm rn and I’m literally starving so I decided to search for this video to get some motivation 🙏🏻🥲
