The ALL-NEW 2021 Jeep J6 2-Door Pickup Truck is ready to set sail across the Jeep line up of the United States of America to compete with the ALL-NEW 2021 Jeep Gladiator! 😎🤩😃💚🟢
Yeah this really should be in production. I love this truck. It's got the proper bed to cab proportions that the gladiator didn't quite hit the spot on. 100% would buy one of these if it came into production.
Gorgeous truck!! If they could do a production version of a base model with a manual transmission for around ~$32K-$34K, then without hesitation "Take My Money!!"
why 32-34? Base model 2 door is 28k, base model gladiator is 33k. Certainly no reason for a base version of this to cost as much as a 4 door gladiator. 28k base, or possibly cheaper. They only have to build half the interior...less wiring, less venting, fewer removable parts, all replaced with a metal box. Hell, give me an old NA 4 cylinder, or borrow a new one from Toyota, and charge me even less. Trucks are getting way to expensive.
The J6 is by far my favorite! I love that it’s shorter and just mid sized, all these “midsized” trucks these days are basically the old full sized ones from 10 years ago. So I’d love to see this become a reality.
"This is a concept" "solely a concept" "strictly a concept", all that is to my ears is: it'll never be mass produced, you'll never have one, we don't care about the massive market we're missing. Seriously this should have been released alongside the 4 door, of course nearly everybody wants this, there's already plenty of family trucks, we want cool small pickups again.
@@charredskeleton tacomas tend not to be liked. The hilux is much better but you don't get it in the states. It's slightly narrower than the tacoma which makes it great for narrow trails and small clearings.
TAKE MY MONEY. This will be very popular for campers/overlanders, and RV'ers are increasing in number since the pandemic. I will build a pop-up camper on it.
The second you order it, it will be on the production line. Unless you order the showroom test drive model. Than still it, won't teleport to your garage.
Jeep hit the nail on the head with this! Even the towing capacity is 7600 lbs. Some 33” tires and the spare underneath to utilize the box. Take my money Jeep!
Build this J6 with a convertible top and removable hard top! Create a roll bar that is functional and looks good top on or top off! Offer it in Rubicon trim and you've got a cult jeep in the making. Yes even more than they are now...
I’ll trade in my 4 door in a heartbeat!! Exactly what I wanted, a Jeep truck that has a big enough bed to be used as a truck and overall short enough wheelbase that its still great off road!! I love my current gladiator but it’s a compromise in both directions, bed is kinda short at 5ft and overall truck is too long to be a great off roader. Man, if they would’ve came out with the 2 door at same time as the 4 door I would’ve bought the 2 door. I don’t need back seats cuss I never have anyone beside 1 passenger. And the 2 door would actually be a better “truck” purpose vehicle anyways, as it has a useable 6ft bed, which is so insanely needed in a truck! Take my money now!!!
This truck.. manual.. diesel.. 28 plus mpg. Would prefer a little more cab room for reclining front seats and behind the seat storage.. bed size is perfect!
cka1799 EXACTLY! Make it happen FCA! The diesel would be perfect as Standard equipment with maybe the new turbo four as optional and of course the manual transmission for either motor, also standard. Take My MONEY!!
@@samv3485 I'm not knocking autos. But I keep my daily driver as a manual, always have. I reserve auto for trucks I tow with daily, mainly because employees can't drive a stick well enough to back a 12k trailer up an s turn driveway without burning a clutch. I'm not hard core rock crawling off road either. Just a note I appreciate how jeep kept the same final gear ratio between their auto and manual option.. I'm big on mpg and the manual has a higher highway rating. Bet I can squeeze a few more mpg out of it combined. Ford always changed their final drive ratio on the focus and made the auto do better. Most of the people I know that drive economy cars that would want a manual would choose the auto because of the mpg difference Ford made between the 2 transmissions. Personally I think it's stupid to purposely create an advantage in the auto and say no one wants a manual, and I own 2 Ford trucks atm. I just love the driver engagement. Maybe I should move to Ireland.. haha
Sign me up for when it's available. This is the Jeep truck we all wanted. One that you can drive in the city and still take off-road. Jeep needs to make this to reclaim the compact truck market. Make this Jeep and take my money!
When the Gladiator was introduced, my first question was: where's the single cab, 2-door version? This version, the J6, is a much more usable vehicle for my needs and wants. Build it and I will buy it (if the top can be removed)!
@@bigbossman5969 That's because no one makes standard cab shortbed trucks at all anymore. Fuel goals with car companies are currently based on wheelbase, and standard cab shortbeds, even though lighter and probably more fuel efficient, screw up their numbers. Its a regulation that needs to be re-evaluated for sure. I'm sure standard cab shortbeds, especially this, would sell MUCH better than you would think if they were available. I always thought Raptor was meant for a standard cab shortbed Ranger instead of a big extended cab F-150. Imagine if they made one with with a 400hp 5.0 V8, in a little ranger?! People would go insane over them. Sportscars are made every day with crappy gas mileage, I don't see why there is no room for a zippy, maneuverable, more cost effective sport truck.
@@rickscott8772 because they wouldn't sell enough thats why. they still make a few regular cabs u just don't see many because most people don't buy them
Jeep doesn’t listen to ppl because of comments like this… how would a Jl base, which this Jeep is based off of, have the same towing as a heavy, longer gladiator? Damn ppl are dumb
"1980s all over again, just tapping into that history that we used to have" Back when they would make an interesting vehicle even if it wasn't going to be a top seller....
For the true off road, outdoorsman, trail king, this is the vehicle for him! This would sell. NO doubt in my mind. hell, if I had the money, I'd buy one for sure. I really like the Gladiator, but this is where it's at!
I like the Gladiator, but I love this J6! Build this Jeep, and I’ll stand on line to purchase this truck! This is the closest thing to my long lost 1983 CJ8 Scrambler! Oh how i miss that iconic Jeep!
Mark Allen is so much of a better concept presenter. He has pure passion and every 3rd word isn't "ummm". That said, TAKE MY MONEY! This is by far the best concept that Jeep has put out in a long time AND people are going nuts for it. There's definately a market for it. Please Jeep....build it.
Shuddap and take my money!!! 😤 I don’t want the four door wrangler pickup, it’s so long an airplane can use it as a runway! And if it came with a turbo diesel, I’d buy it if I had to sell my kidney
Yup - both of my friends who also own wranglers that I asked their thoughts on the gladiator said "I'm waiting for the two door" and when I said "they're only doing four door", the reply was "well I guess I'm not getting one". I'm in the same boat. Four door jeeps aren't jeeps and four door pickups DEFINITELY are not true work trucks. I know the market is soccer moms who don't want to feel too old, but seriously - make pickups great again - please be the brand to remind the world what a pickup is supposed to be and TAKE MY MONEY!
Simple!! Bring back the Comanche!! We loved that truck. That is what the J6 truly is. The Gladiator can stay. People like a 4-door Jeep truck. But the Comanche is the J6.
Jeep could very easily recoup the cost of this very expensive J6 concept if they'd put it in to production. I know I would be very willing to sign my life away on one of these.
I didn’t know that this was a thing. But it’s funny cause since the gladiator came out, I’ve been saying if they made a 2 door model with a 6 foot bed I’d buy it. Please build this so I can give you my money!
Not everyone needs a 4 door people hauler. I’m considering a Taco with extended cab and long bed, but this Jeep with a diesel and manual would definitely get my attention.
This is exactly what I wanted from the gladiator. Once I found out it was only going to be offered in a 4 door I found a jk8. Maybe one day Jeep will make a standard cab:(
I held off buying a JKUR waiting and hoping the J6 is what the gladiator would have been, I missed out on great JK deals and the gladiator is an aircraft carrier of disappointment. BUILD THE J6!
this truck needs to exist. First it looks amazing my mom and sister who both don't like the look of the gladiator both love this truck. second it brings me back to the first time my dad took me off-roading in the mountains in his little two door truck ,which is what jeeping is all about just going out and enjoying your family and the great out doors. third it looks like a jeep not just a new jeep with a classic look but looks like the originals. Therefore this would be an amazing jeep not just because it would be cool but because it is what jeeps are all about. ps if you agree give this comment a like that way we may have a chance of actually getting this amazing piece of art on four wheels .
A 120 inch wheel base and a 6.5 bed length two door with the Gladiator payload and towing capacity. On side note the Rubicon needs 285/75r17 tires, especially the long wheelbase/long rear overhang Gladiator.
They deff made a mistake on the towing capacity. It's built on a JL platform, not the gladiator platform, so it only has the rising capacity of a4dr JL...
Yesterday, I was drooling over Jeep Gladiator. Then I passed by this video and guess what? This J6 stole my heart and my intestines!!!Take my money!!!!
What is needed is a SINGLE CAB GLADIATOR. Put a pop up camper on it's flat tray and you have the bast overlanding rig. Daaaamn I want it. And oddly I never saw any conversion...
I'm currently daily driving a 2000 TJ. The JK/JL U always seemed too much to switch to...the Gladiator may also be too big... This rig...looks just right and if it will tow that 7000 lbs it would be a keeper for a long long time! Hey Jeep, I am ready to pre-order!
Time to release this puppy to the masses JEEP. Small regular cab short bed pickup trucks are in great demand. I can't keep mine in my driveway before someone comes along and buys them. Check out TFL's baby yota project.
Please make this truck!!! This is the Jeep truck a lot of people have been waiting for. I have a JKR and JKUR and was excited when the Gladiator was announced but then extremely disappointed when I realized it wouldn't be offered in a 2 door. For me personally the Gladiator has too much body, chassis and break over angle for my lifestyle but I absolutely love the dimensions of the J6. Also I really believe that some of the reasons the JK8 kit wasn't a huge seller was because some JKU owners at the time didn't realize the kit was available and the ones that did know about it probably didn't want to cut up their jeep that they paid so much for to do major modifications to the body. I feel that if the JK8 was released directly from the factory and could have been purchased directly off the lot it would have been a major player amongst the Jeep family. Now that Jeep has a second chance with the J6 I really hope they see the opportunity and take it. I would absolutely buy one. I'll take mine in a diesel please! JEEP PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE MAKE THIS!!!
For real tho, take my money!! Idk why Jeep didn’t do this along with the gladiator. Base it off the wrangler chassis with a bed, not that hard... missed opportunity in my opinion
I agree 100% this should have been an option.. When they originally came out with the showcase they had one similar to this but decided not to go through with it
I gotta be honest, nothing has made me want to trade in my taco before; i love that truck. But this thing... I'd be down signing papers today. (assuming it can tow atleast 4500lbs and its not as extremely over priced as the regular gladiator)
S.S.T.. Short, stubby, tall. Beautiful, no show-off truck that is by far better than any 4 door truck. Not every man, or woman wants to haul their loved ones around all the time. That's why you never ever see a 4 passenger HARLEY DAVIDSON. Don't take it personally but it is good to drive solo once in a while, or daily. I miss the standard cab 4x4's.
2 questions: 1. Why did they stop building keep P/U’s? 2. What took them so long to start building them again? Okay one more. Why don’t they build a 2 door Gladiator or an extended cab version?
I would buy this in a heartbeat. Jeep will never make it though. I would take a regular cab or an extended cab over the 4 door gladiator. I love Jeeps. I owned a TJ and WK2 ecodiesel. I'll probably end up buying a 2 door bronco but would choose this if it were available.
I NEED this J6!!! most gorgeous truck I've EVER seen!! I LOVED what AEV was doing with the Brute. This is the same!! I love the 2 door over the 4 door. Shorter wheel base for off-roading. How often do you off-road with 4 people? This is the ultimate off-road BEAST!!!! Free give-away? ME PLEASE!!!
This J6 Concept has the personality that captivates the soul like no other Pick up on the market. Jeep would be crazy not to make this truck. For heavens sake Jeep just Take my money!
In a world of "trucks" that look like school busses with vestigial beds grafted onto them, this is a VERY refreshing change! Too bad about the stupid screen in the middle of the dash though.
Love this! It's a combination of all my favorite things. Hope hope hope they get the message and build this! I'll take mine with a manual trans please. Awesome.
