Com'n up on 14,000 miles on my Gladiator and it's been flawless. Most enjoyable truck I've ever owned. We've towed every type of trailer imagineable, used it on family trips, and even took it to a local car show where it was the biggest star there. Fantastic vehicle. It's like a Swiss army knife...it does everything.

Not sure if its been covered in all of these comments but the space between the cup holders that you suggested is for a cell phone was actually meant for the factory key fob. I realize it's a great spot for either but I've had a few dodge vehicles with push button start and this is a genius idea. Granted it doesn't cross the mind much but the subtle added features equal to major improvements. I used to have a small issue with where to place the key fob while driving but one of the engineers solved it with that little space between the cup holders. I also used to have a problem with an armload of stuff or a baby in hand and the key fob was always in the opposite pocket of the arm with the load. Now the jeep engineers have solved that problem with the automatic unlock when the key gets into the vicinity of the vehicle. Two thumbs up in my opinion.

The most interesting thing I learned from this video was there was a Dodge Dakota Convertible. What a time to be alive!

Nice review- I have a Launch Edition and I absolutely love it. With 11k comments as I write this, I have no idea if anyone has mentioned it, but when you lock the rear seat backs, the seat can still be raised up and the compartment below can be accessed. Thankfully, the below-seat compartment has its own locks (on both sides). And I realize there is only so much one can fit into a video, but there are so many more nice details that deserve mentioning.... such as the molle seat backs, the trail rail system in the bed, the 12-V power outlet on the center console in front of the rear seats, the 7k pound towing capacity, acoustic headliner, tailgate half-position, zoom setting on the rear camera for precise trailer hitching, 2 types of electric connectors for trailer lights, heated seats and steering wheel, remote start, programmable aux switches, plenty of USB outlets, built-in grab handles for each seat, heated exterior mirrors, tinted windows, hill start assist, 9 skid plates, etc. It's my 3rd jeep and by far my favorite vehicle ever.

I test drove one of these yesterday at the Silicon Valley Auto Show, and was SUPER impressed. It’s an excellent driver and feels insanely nice to drive. I would seriously consider buying one if I needed a pickup truck.

My Dad still has a 1977 Jeep truck which he bought in '77, which also was my birth year. It is light brown, with old school brown and gold stripes that go around the car. Totally fun memories in that truck. It is now 43 years old and he frequently gets people that leave notes on his car asking if he is selling it. People have rang their doorbell asking about that truck.

Great vid Doug. You mentioned the Jeep Commanche which is great, but I really wish I could've seen a little history lesson or at least an honorable mention by you on the CJ8 Scrambler. Especially considering, this is not the first Wrangler pickup Jeep has produced. I know where the Gladiator name came from, but I mention all this really because I wish Jeep would've brought back the Scrambler name for this model. And if I buy one, it's decal is definitely going on the hood!

Another neat feature is its ability to change color from red to orange at will.

This is gonna sell like crazy to wealthy families that never leave the asphalt and cement. Frat bros will be driving this in a few years

Yknow all these people who trash a car like this clearly have not experienced it, a Jeep wrangler and now the gladiator are unique cars that really let you enjoy the roads on a nice summer day with the breeze blowing, taking a back road, etc. Worth every penny.

Also the Launch Edition has a black dash with red stitching instead of a red dash in this particular model shown in the video, plus the launch edition has the Gladiator on the Shift Nob instead of the old Willis Jeep.

Key fits perfectly into the spot you put the phone. I think the default space for the phone is in front of the gear shifter between the console and infotainment area.

This is so chocked full of win. I seriously want one of these.

I want to buy the guy that created the bolt storage a drink, i finally feel someone understands me.

I can already see Wrangler people getting Gladiator parts like the grill, the steel front bumper and the more robust wheels to improve their Wranglers.

The off-road cruise control button is the “hill decent” button on regular Jeeps. Interesting that the icon is slightly different. The Wrangler button shows the Jeep on a steep declining slope. On the Gladiator, it shows the Jeep on a bumpy yet flat surface. I wonder how different the functionality really is.

Doug, just an FYI. The little space between the cup holders is actually not for a phone. It's actually for the Key fob.

Next. the Fiat Multipla, it seriously needs a review by you.

Imagine having the money to buy a brand new jeep gladiator and spending it on a jeep gladiator.

I had lost touch with this brand in the past because they had made mistakes. But, this new RE-FRESH has me really interested, I think I now want to trade my pickup truck in for this new Gladiator. Good job Re-freshing the brand Jeep, keep this going because the future requires you to do this. Vehicles like this will win north american hearts again
