I just dyed my gb2 sapphire blue and had no issues it took about 45 seconds. I used the Rit dye more. Bought a bronze deep pocket clip and might acid etch the liners and the other hardware. Hard to find any 3rd party components but Absolutely love the knife and they finally had an option with out the ugly cf scales
Super nice Rit coloring. Your blade chipping may be a burnt edge from factory belt sharpening. If so, it should improve after sharpening two, or so, times. Great video!
I think it’s pretty typical for Spyderco, lighter than what you’d experience with a high end Chinese company, but it works well. You can thumb-flick it and Spydie-flick it while also still having a smooth slow roll
@@knoxknifemods gotcha. Yea just worried it'll be Caribbean light and the blade will just open randomly/open if you lightly shake the knife. I've tried 3 of those and they all have the same issue, and I think it's disqualifyingly unsafe.
