She's been asking me to take her back here as she said it's her favorite place in Bangkok. Hi John. I would say that at the park it definitely is. You also don’t have to use a boat to get there. On the other side of the “island“ is a road. You can definitely get to the park by taxi.

There’s a bunch of little restaurants and some coffee shops on the island. The one I stopped at would be good for what you’re looking for. The link is in the description below. But the island is packed with restaurants, as well as a handful of air-conditioned coffee shops.

It was definitely a brutally hot day, Sheila. There was very little cover from the sun there. The reason you didn’t see any sweat stains on my shirt, was because I was completely soaked. Lol. I arrived here at the beginning of April last year, so I knew what to expect this month. I’m heading to the US in a couple of weeks, and will be making some interesting videos from there as well.

i watch a number of videos about other cultures but one thing I'm gonna try to do if I make the effort would be to have more interaction with the locals...a lot more, and maybe a hella lot less of MY mug in the camera all the time. As vlogs go, yours is fairly standard and adequate. No harm no foul.

another cool video serg. i have just arrived back in the uk after 2 weeks out there in hua hin kanchanabari and bangkok . whats your take on tourists being charged inflated prices to enter some attractions? i was going to go to one place it was 150 baht for Thai people and 900 baht for tourists even thai people there moaned about it. another place free for thai and 500 baht for me. doesn't quite sit right with me

We don't like the discrimination too but for some place its okay since that place have to hire more people to take care and preparation(likes Eng/Foreign sign blablabla) for tourist. BTW the 900 is too far from 150. dangg can you tell me where is that place.

@@Ramirezz11 it was one of the animal parks in hua hin and only small not alot there going off the reviews. then also 200 baht extra inside for each activity aswell to buy food for animals ect. i understand maybe charge more to pay for english speaking ect. but in some cases i do think the mark up is too much.

A lot of buildings and attractions require costly maintenance, They wan't these attractions to be accessible to locals, but if they charged everyone the local price they wouldn't be able to afford the maintenance. As such, they charge locals a price to make it accessible for them, and charge tourists a more reasonable fee to actually cover their costs. I think its important for the tax paying residents to have cheaper access to things like national parks that would otherwise be unaccessible to them due to price.

I think it sucks. When it’s a small difference, say 40 Baht Thai people, and 150 for foreigners, that’s OK. But just like you, I’ve been to places where it was seven, or even 10 times more. I turned around and walked away from places because I refuse to pay the inflated prices. All it’s doing is hurting tourism to some of these places. The places that I find that have the whitest mark ups, or complete tourist traps. This is usually a good way to know that it’s a tourist trap, it will have wildly inflated prices for foreigners.

It’s funny you ask that. Literally five minutes ago. I turn my head and looked out my window, and I noticed that I could see blue skies and even the moon. First time in a couple months. Hopefully it’s a sign of things to come. The Horisont is definitely clearer!
