Sharing my experiences on my first week taking Vyvanse in hopes to treat my #adhd! The week had its highs and lows and some discomfort, but overall headed in the right direction.
Opening up to educate and help others!
At the same time, looking to see how managing my ADHD might help performance in sports! Two of which are Golf and Slo-pitch.
Let’s see it if helps to sharpen my game!

Thanks so much for responding to my video, it means a ton to me because I also was unsure if I wanted to share my ADHD or not. If my video helped one person then it was worth it, thank you! Mental health has such stigma and to expose our vulnerabilities can have possible negative impacts. I had the same concerns you shared that this could affect my brand and how people perceive me. Embarrassing in some ways to expose your “perceived weaknesses” but I’m also taking this as an outlet and wanted to pay it forward if I can help others. Life is too short. Your circumstances may be different and you may have the need to keep private, I respect that! I never thought it to be this way, but my friend told me she and others feel that ADHD is a super power. When I look back to my childhood until now, I came to realize that ADHD has certainly been a super power for me. Maybe that can be another video :). In some ways I can do things others can’t. Well done on taking the several steps you have, seeing a psychiatrist to pairing up with an ADHD coach! I think to have someone to talk to, relate to and listen to is an immense step forward. Those that can’t relate, even your closest friends, may not be able to comprehend what you’re going through. As for Vyvanse itself, I do feel it has refined some of my “super powers” so far. The sleep has been improving a bit and I am testing something out (another video if it works hah). My GP’s first side effect concern was the loss of appetite and subsequently a loss of weight. Fortunately that hasn’t happened and I’m still eating “normally” (too much). I’ll continue to weigh the pros vs cons over the next few weeks. I do miss having my morning coffee…. Thanks again for reaching out, best of luck to you! Family first always, but to do that you need to take care of yourself too 👍

I am still learning more about it all and reently this one really clicked for me : ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-4PTl27tTmfY.html "to long didnt watch" Dr k explains - Many patients fear becoming dependent on psychiatric drugs, a concern shared across various mental health conditions. - **Role of Medication in Treatment**: Medications are prescribed to sustainably aid patients, with the intent being therapeutic rather than leading to dependence. -. **Medication as a Tool for Health Management**: The goal of any medication, including ADHD drugs, is to maintain health. Its necessity may decrease if the patient adopts other healthy behaviors. -. **Physiologic Dependence and Withdrawal**: Dependence on medication like ADHD stimulants may lead to physiological tolerance and withdrawal symptoms, but this isn't inherently negative. -. **Psychotherapy vs. Medication for ADHD**: Both psychotherapy and medication are effective for ADHD, with psychotherapy offering longer-lasting benefits after treatment ends. - **Developing Skills to Manage ADHD**: Psychotherapy can teach skills to manage ADHD, potentially reducing or eliminating the need for medication. - **Stimulant vs. Non-Stimulant Medication**: Stimulant medications act faster but are not necessarily more effective than non-stimulants. Patient perception often favors stimulants due to the immediate effects. In summary - adhd is managable and curable through natural ways like exercise, diet, sleep & a good shrink/coach. However it just takes more dedication and time and effort. For some people - they may not have the time or capacity or ATTENTION to manage it naturally. As in my case - being a busy dad juggling * juggling a business - its just too dam difficult to get ontop of it all so for now. I need vyvanse to hopefully try and get me ontop and ahead and honestly all i can hope is that I will be able to make my career more successful so that I can then have more money that can help me ceate more freedom and time to then sort myself out in more natural and healthier ways

Was an interesting video and did make me think if I would be taking meds for the rest of my life. I also don't feel a "reliance" on Vyvanse, maybe it's still too early to tell. Like you, I think if life can "stabilize" and for sure money can offer more freedom and "less stress", then we might be in a better place. Hope so anyways. Only making money isn't so easy, I haven't found the tree yet. I don't remember if you mentioned you have trouble sleeping or not but I created this brown noise which I've been testing and using lately and it has been a gem. Had a few friends try it also before I published it and they also found it helpful. I've been able to get to sleep faster, and even if I wake up, I have an easier time getting back to sleep. My Garmin watch has been impressed with the sleep I've been getting! Give it a try if you'd like and let me know how it goes: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-phNi_FsEPt8.html

Debating, do the pros outweigh the cons…? Had a conversation with someone yesterday and I was able to keep eye contact, improved listening, and less anxiety….

Hi! Hope you’re still doing well, I was hoping if you would share with me some information pertaining to Vyvanse. What MG have you stopped at to where you think you’ve reached the full effect of taking Vyvanse, have you reached that point yet? As of today I’m in my 2nd month of taking it, my second day of starting the dosage of 40 mg, last month I began taking it at 30 mg. Right now I know it’s working because I have somewhat of a less restraint in doing things. I’m not fully there yet, I can tell because there’s still a resistance to a certain extent. So pretty much my guess is I will know the medicine has reached its full effect once I’m able to “freely” do things without being inwardly restrained from doing them. I was wondering at what mg did you stop at to where you felt you had reached the full effect that it was helping you, thank you, and again hope your still feeling well.

Hi! Hope you're doing well! I've been juggling so many things in life with an overly stressful venture that's gone south. Vyvanse has definitely helped me stay more calm and not over think and over excite myself. I've been at 40 mg and exactly as you've described it, I feel I could use a slightly higher does because I do feel a little "restrained". Unfortunately, I've been procrastinating to get it adjusted.... I have a friend who was also on 30mg but adjusted to 40mg and she thinks it's the "perfect" dose. Good luck to you, it's been a month in for you, let me know if you plan to increase!

@@JitzKing Hey, no worries, I understand, I do. Yeah, I’m up to 60mg Vyvanse right now, things have improved and are better, BUT! The whole ADHD paralysis is still a thing, too much actually, a bit more than before. I read up on it this evening and it seems to be a common issue with many as well, the whole paralysis thing that lingers on, but then again most I’ve read their like on 30mg or 40mg, like you said, “restrained”, yeah. I’ve got energy, and more focus and awareness, but I’m in zombie mode in getting stuff accomplished, I HATE IT. I was hoping to stop at 60, just to have that one dose to fall back on later when it starts wearing off, but I guess not, the experimentation continues on. That’s good with your friend, good for her, I’m sure that’s a great feeling to feel you’ve reached it. So I’m not sure, have an appointment 2 more days, it’s either go up the last dose or try something else. As usual with any of us I guess, we’re all different, so just have to continue on the adventures of experimenting. Hhhmmm! Let’s see what this pill does 😂 Drum roll …. Good luck to you as well, Peace

Vyvanse is a mixed bag for people and anectdotally I've heard people with anxiety and adhd don't usually do well taking that particular stimulant... Your video audio is very quiet. Kinda hard to hear on my phone speaker.

Ironically one side effect is increased anxiety. Thanks for the note on the audio, I’ll fix that for future vids
