So I think the markings are something different. This is all speculation, but…Morgan Elsbeth is human, while Merrin & Ventress are Zabraks. Their markings, like those of the males, are part of their natural skin pigmentation. Elsbeth was born *among* the Nightsisters, but was not born *to* the Nightsisters. So her face was mystically tattooed in order to show her devotion to the order’s principles. That’s why in Ahsoka we saw new tattoos appear when the Mothers gave her their blessing. By the way, I love that Star Wars has become so factional when it comes to Force-wielders. It reminds me a bit of Dune in that way, with the Bene Gesserit, Spacing Guild and Mentats all becoming schools that teach people how to unlock mental power, and all sort of pitted against each other.
Very good theory! However, Zabrak females have horns like the males. Since the episode, I have been wondering if it’s possible Ventress and Merrin are an indigenous species (and the mothers in Ahsoka), while all the other human and Zabraks are transplants… descendants of pilgrims and settlers.
@@OneProtagonist From what I understand, the Nightsisters are, in fact, Zabraks. Dathomirian Zabrak females do not have horns. Iridonian Zabraks (like Eeth Koth) do have horned females. Maul, Oppress & Feral are fully Zabrak and are Talzin's biological sons.
Morgan Elsbeth has so much fear and hate inside her that not only she couldn't open herself to the kindness of th Mountain Clan but had to go and frak it all out...
