Travel was hell today. Legitimately awful. You made the correct choice. Driving 21 hours nonstop is dangerous and you’re setting yourself up for a bad experience anyway

Man, I can feel how genuine you are. I remember how it felt when I couldn’t make my first nationals I had an invite because of air travel as well. Keep being excited about the game and just crush the next tournament

Hey, sorry to hear bro, I´m from EU and I have a similar problem, first very competitive year, first invite, didn´t get a ticket since they were sold out twice immediately. I feel you!

Honestly that's a lot of money to spend on a flight,hotel and the fiendsmith cards,when even if you had gone and won the event the prizing you wouldn't even cover the cost of all that, honestly Yu-Gi-Oh is just a non stop money sink and knowing that Konami could just ban the cards in 6 or 12 months is really scary cos at the end of the day as long as they make money that's all they care about its certainly not about playerbase and prizes

I'd just ask Konami if there is any way to get Nats invite redeemed due to this being a global issue, like see if it can be transferred over to next year or something. Sucks to see you got screwed by outside phenomena

I think you made a good decision. It would have been for sure an adventure to go by car OR take new flight, spent some extra bucks etc. but now you will get some rest, enjoy family, enjoy home and still watch some yugo. Bruv call a chick !

This has happened to me before in another game. Took an $800 loss. I feel like if you compete in tourneys like this enough something wild like this is bound to happen. Got it outta the way early lol. Don’t give up on the push my boy. Just a rough hiccup

If you paid with credit card you might be able to have your credit card company refund the hotel. Sometimes cards have like travelers insurance clauses to cover stuff like this happening. Not a 100% thing but I know some cards do.

Not sure if you tried this, but a lot of hotels only require a 24 hour cancellation. You might be able to call them and cancel the three nights that wouldn’t be tonight.
