JuCity JT I think more and more of them are starting to like black bands more and more these days. I remember when Grambling came to San Jose Ca. back in 2004 which had mostly a white audience they really were crazy about GSU. I was there and witnessed it.
Naw Mobile is very familiar with those type of Bands no lie Mobile use to have some good high school bands in the 90s and early 2000’s. I wish y’all could have heard the original Mobile All Star band from 2002-2005 we use to be deep!

@@ucns it does, but their Baritone horns are too loud. You can be loud and balanced at the same time, and that's why most HBCU schools play that way, but sometimes musicians forget about balance when they do this, and it turns into what you hear in the video. Being powerful is something that all HBCU bands want to be, that's the main reason for their loud dynamics.
Cranking may not be the only way but as a fan of watching HBCU bands I want the band to blow my ears off lmao...But of course sound good while doing so. lol.
TDC @8:00 mark is disqualifying. Hell nah.. both bands had issues but Alcorn was noticeably cleaner. Volume alone doesn't win a battle. Got to give Alcorn the W.

So what tc was greater in numbers their song arrangements is the same from last semester alcorn easily gets the dub in my book with clean new arrangements

Tubas messed up the tempo on intro it’s called what’s love by fat joe if they had a smaller tuba section it wouldn’t be split but I’m sure they split it because they sitting on damn near 50 tubas and all of em playing 🤣
