You charging it with the cable literally is the most magical thing about this video I'm so excited!! I hope Bandai releases this in English eventually and in the US because this is something I know a lot of collectors/fans would invest in. Regardless of the language it’s set in I’m purchasing one. 😭 I just wish Americans were as lucky as Japanese collectors lol 🥲💘🥺✨

FR! I wish there was a bigger community for v-pets in the west, maybe that would motivate the company to bring them over here. I remember when the first colour Tama came out only for Japan, was really bummed out because I couldn't get one since it was Japan only and resellers we're selling it for insane prices (still happens today with any of the Japan exclusives). I'm happy we're getting some new one now like the On and Pix but I do hope they make them more available because where I live I've only seen the 20th anniversary original re-release and nothing else 😔

My tamagotchi smart was just shipped! Can’t wait for it to arrive. I only know a bit or hiragana so reading it will be a struggle but hopefully there are some online guides that can help! I’ll definitely be referring to your video again to help with the setup!

Thanks for featuring this. I'm already waiting for mines to come Tuesday. I'm upset that the other chips release later but I've secured them all, including a mint blue smart. This thing looks big on the wrist so now I'm not sure i'd wear it to work as I was hoping for.

Awesome video as always! I have my 25th Anniversary Tama Smart arriving on Sept 7! I can’t wait. I wanted this one for the 1996 Friends card. I’m also really hopeful Bandai will do some interesting things like release Devilgotch & Angelgotch SmaCards. That would be cool! In your opinion, how big is the screen? I want to get a screen protector but obviously official ones don’t exist yet. Is the screen the same size as the Meets/On or closer to the Connection in size? It’s so hard to tell from photos. Looking forward to more videos of you & your Smart!!🧡🧡

I wish Bandai would apply the Tamagotchi concept to DigiMon. Would be nice to see digimon in color and in detail, instead of the blocky, colorless 8bit stuff they keep putting out

Just managed to find one on eBay for a decent price! (Around the same as a reasonably priced Sanrio DX Meets) I'm so hyped for the rechargeable battery and touchscreen!

@@adi-lf5eb I did get it! I've been enjoying it so far, but I wish a translation was available so I can know what my tama is trying to say to me and such. Compared to other modern versions, I'd say the gameplay is closer to that of a classic version (not as involved as the On for example) but that can be a good thing as well. Trying to figure out how to get something other than Mametchi though :p (I've got him 3 times now).

Try Tobi 2 is really funny to wear it. Not so small, but design is better than the Tamagotchi Smart (that really looks a color Tamagotchi on a wristband, lazy design).

I'd personally recommend a Tamagotchi On (or a Tamagotchi Meets if you don't mind that the Meets is in Japanese). I think the Tama On's gene mixing is a ton of fun, and brings a lot of variety to the game play.

This special edition was released in Japan around August; customers could enter their name into a lottery, and if they were chosen, they could purchase this Tama. I bought mine from someone in Japan who was selected from the lottery.

It’s Japanese only right now. That said there are English letters in the keyboard so you can write your name on English but all the text the Tamas speak and all the packaging/instructions are in Japanese.

Hey Dani! In your honest expert opinion, do you think the Smart will eventually become available in English? Say in a year or two, like what happened with the Meets and On? (I've seen other videos of game play too, and it looks so cool! The rechargeable battery is a great idea!)

That's a tough question! My gut says I don't think the Smart will be available in English anytime soon :( As Bandai America just put a ton of money into the launch of the Pix, my guess is that they won't be doing anything big soon. However, in a few years, I wouldn't say its impossible! I hope they create an English version, as I'm enjoying the Smart, and I think so many people would enjoy an English version too!
