Every time I wanna listen to the original version, I pop up this one for the first 20 seconds or so (before the vocals come in) and then blast the original. It kind of connects you to the song's laid-out vibe and then smashes you with that sky-diving vibe.
I can get behind this remix! Normally, most remixes consist of some joe shmoe editing a song until it's identity and essence is gone and all is left is a crappy rendition of the Amen break. I really like that Ducktails took the identity of the song to heart and truly mixed the song again (remix). It feels like Mind Mischief. It feels like Tame Impala. But it is a new experience crafted Ducktails with a nicely embroidered tag stating so.
"...and all is left is a crappy rendition of the Amen break." Christ your experience with remixes must be very unlucky then because that is not how I would breakdown remixes.
Kevin Parker has a fantastic tendency to put my mind in a lucid state with his songwriting and soundscapes. I'm 24 and enjoy many different artists from OutKast to Led Zeppelin to Cage the Elephant to Pink Floyd to Wu-Tang Clan to My Chemical Romance to Lynyrd Skynyrd. I thought Zeppelin and Floyd were my all-time favorites and would forever be in a battle for the #1 spot, but Tame Impala came along and snatched it. And I don't see Kevin making anything less than spectacular music anytime soon.
..and when the YWNCCTHIF thought it couldn't get any better, the person of speech, Kevin Parker, came along yet another time to release a song named 'Let It Happen' an anthem of a song so strong it would overshadow the whole rest of the following album Currents (which still does not mean that it's not absolutely gorgeous) - a song so strong it would seem to become the very best single song of all great songs (and man there were soo many soo good songs!) released in the year of 2015.
That guitar solo ❤️ I love the last two tame impala albums but the first 2 and the ep just had such fantastic guitar which I hope Kevin returns more of in the future.
Trust me, I have done A LOT of research on psilocybin containing mushrooms, telling someone to stay away from synthetics is not terrible advice, synthetics are manufactured horribly and can easily be contaminated. The only risk you run with mushrooms is picking the wrong ones (easy not to if you do even a small amount of research), and maybe natural contamination (also easily avoidable if you wash them).
