Oh this is beyond words, Cassidy is one of my favorite songs, Tangled Up In Blue rocks, these musicians, yes yes yes!!!! ❤❤ Nothing To Tell Now, Let The Words Be Yours, I’m Done With Mine….what a jam 🎸💀👏✨⚡️
I was taking care of my grandmother for the past year thanks to covid and she passed away right before these shows one day I hope to get to personally thank everyone who played these shows for helping get by during some fucked up times
Good yes. A fit for jerry absolutely hell no!!! Jerry knew the song and this song does not call for how he plays. This guy is too high energy all the time.
Oh no doubt, amazing. What they both bring to this band, of course along with the others, is powerful stuff. Beautiful, and Bill K! Wow! 75 and just all over this music. Awesome as always. As far as being not being "a fit for Jerry" Im sure nothing like that was part of a job req. To my ears and brain this band has total energy, great feel for the songs, and sounds awesome. Rocks and more.
No one can ever sound likeJerry, except, well Jerry of course! That’s why they chose Trey Anastasio for Fare Thee well, no Jerry clones! Tom should replace Mayer in D & Co because they could use some of that “ energy” in their shows!
Same here. Would be sweet for Joe Russo to join in as well as other all stars from time to time. Throw Tim on the fiddle from Railroad Earth to sing with this sax man. And how bout jimmy Herring while we are dreaming 🤘😆 It’s funny I felt the Biscuits as I was playing along before I looked to see what RU-vid was playin
james casey from trey band. playing with trey allows him to compliment billy S and his aggressive machine gun approach so well. to those that dont know billy s met his bass player at his first phish show in nashville. hes a really nice kid/dude and so approachable.
Can stop listening to this jaw dropping band. Happy Birthday Billy K!! What a gift to have these guys rocking out !! I mean, the vocals, Billy Strings, Carlos, and that crazy sax player! Keyboards, dam! Nothing like great jams outside on a beautiful day. Make me miss Wanee, SpringFest and MagFest. To my old friend in New Jersey, who said it all died when Jerry Garcia passed away,, you’re NOT paying attention!
Both Tangled up in blue and Cassidy sound absolutely beautiful. Billy and the Kids are great. Much more fun than dead & co. With these guests they are fantastic. If they toured with Strings santana and that sax id. love to follow them for as much as i can. Spunds so so sweet.
21:07 Billy K's smile says it all, when Tom's space noodling rounds into the intro licks to "Bird Song"! I'd love to see what these guys could do with a year on the road under their belts! Excellence here.........Happy Birthday Kid!
I just imagine stumbling across this little private concert all by accident. Hearing them off in the distance and realizing who all is playing as you get closer and closer!! And then it becomes not so private as they call in the souls from all over the island 😆🤙
I know that beach...walked across that stream and right behind his house and didn't know it! That was 4-5 years ago, so i dunno if lived there at the time.... Nevertheless, if i was one of those people down on the beach, i'd kick back and enjoy the show! And the great thing is, NO beach in Hawaii is private (it's illegal), so anyone would be free to walk on the beach and enjoy the show....
@@HHSTuba that special era when keith was playing piano, donna was a little more background, pig was still around and mickey was on hiatus. my absolute favorite era.
His main band is the disco biscuits. That’s a whole different level of workout transformation. Some 20minute plus jams. Really wild.. Magner is super talented.
Right on my figurative back porch (Kauai). So cool to see these guys get together, I’ve jammed with james Casey and Billy strings, w/ bill nershi right up the road from moloaa bay (where they are performing). So GRATEFUL for them spreading this aloha!
I used to work for billy graham... I’ve seen a lot. This little gig is super fun!! It does sound better than slow n company!! I think because the kids are setting the pace. It’s driving along... I think bob is in charge of slow n company, funny because being in charge is not his role or strong suit. Bob should let guitar boy set the pace ..
@@itspumpkinninny That period '72-'73 with both Pig & Keith and Bill as sole drummer. Inimitable. Didn't know it at the time but Rod was a truly great blues singer. He sounds better now, 50 yrs later
WOW, god lord shake a goat! this boy got the magic. the entire band is rolling right. better than Dylan's version. go B. Kreutzmann happy 75TH and many more.
Yeah, this event was a little disappointing in that regard. I would've like to have seen them perform some Billy S. songs... Also, the cameraman pretty much dissed him much of the time.....
