Code: SPN for 10% off Blacksmith Tactical Holsters. My go to is the v2 holster with double discrete carry clips and a wedge. And if you have under a 3.7” barrel, get a wedge!! Respect
@@heyheyhophopThank you for clarifying that this subcompact does not have the famous rotating barrel! This guy had 8 minutes to say that and nothing!! Very poor video. But thank you!
@@michaelmarano834 APpreciated, but kudos to the other guys, really, I just made sure to clarify :) James Reeves had a very nice interview on this gun (the one with the rotating barrel) not too long ago, btw
Solid gun. Langdon did a 50,000 test with the Full Size PX4. He had a failure after 40k rounds when the locking block broke. Impressive results, video is available on RU-vid. In 2019-2020 Sportsman Super Store sold these and the compacts guns for $300-$350 - crazy!!!
Beretta is never a bad choice. You can extend the base plate on one of those mags and it gives a place to put your little finger without adding much bulk to the total package.
I’m glad you are interested in discontinued firearms, and willing to share them. It seems like everyone is always chasing the newest thing, but it doesn’t mean older firearms are bad. There are some really good deals on some great firearms. Thanks for your work!
Bro, the carry and subcompact are completely different. One has a rotating barrel and the sub doesn’t. The Rotating barrel is the main reason to get a storm, this function will make the recoil completely different.
The guy who created this video wrote me a nasty message for disagreeing with him on this same subject and then deleted it. Interesting way to run a channel.
That thing looks brand new. I had a full size PX4 when they came out very early on. Awesome gun. Love Beretta anything. I carried it for a couple of years. Traded it for something I can’t recall. $434 would’ve got you closer to that HellCat Pro you said you were ‘saving up’ for! 😂
I have the LTT PX4 Compact Carry. Ernest has 3 or 4 of them that have over 50,000 and I believe at least one that has over 100,000 without anything breaking. Pretty impressive to say the least. Mine has his trigger job too it’s absolutely amazing. I need more practice with it because I plan on carrying it in the winter. Can’t wait..
I was waiting for you to get around to the PX4. I know this video is about the sub. I had a PX4 Compact. Loved it, but I trusted my G3C more. For me, the PX4 was quirky at the wrong time. The sub-compact has the Moses Browning tilt barrel. The other models have the rotating barrel. Pros and cons to that concept for each owner. I traded mine recently for a G30 Gen5.
@@TonyDSGyou’d be surprised the amount of guns people buy and shoot once or never. Local shop near me has like 5 guns on consignment for this one guy and 2 of them still have the tags from when he bought them over a year ago. But the owner of the shop has told me that same guy will walk in and just buy 3 guns at time just because 😂
I’ll be interested on your thoughts after you shoot it. One of the big advantages to the compact carry (and full size) is the rotating barrel, which the sub compact does not have and handles nothing like the compact version.
I was very torn between one of these as one of my first options. I ended up saving more and getting a nickel plated 84fs, which is one of my favorites. Still, the Storm is just awesome looking and I'd love to get one.
TFB James did an interview with Earnest Langdon's 100,000 round Px4!!! LOVE my 92X Compact SO MUCH I am now a Beretta fan!!! Been wanting one of these Chunx now!
Im actually a PX4 collector and just managed to score a subcompact in 40. It definitely feels different than the full size/compact because of the lack of rotating barrel action, but its still a very unique 40. I've been saying for so long how this is one of the most underrated guns in the world. Polymer frame but with full safeties, hammers and controls. And that beretta stamp! It seems to have gotten some popularity lately so the prices are going up. Since they discontinued the subcompact, its quickly becoming a collector's item and the remaining "new in box" ones getting more valuable every day
You shot them back to back? I actually have px4 storm carry 2 with me right now. They recoil dang near identical with the subcompact having less muzzle flip. The trigger and features are just better on the carry
I had one in .40 last year. Though, mine would always start jamming after 50-60 rounds (failing to chamber the next round). Also took sending it back to Beretta three times before they fixed it. By that point, even when it ran good… didn’t wanna trust it. So sold it to a friend who wanted a .40. I already have a 96a1 and a 92fs Inox. So I can live with it. Annoyed at the competence of their gunsmith at fixing guns. But if I got another down the line, I would hope I luck out.
Since CZ discontinued the Rami they need to either bring it back into production or create another all metal single stack subcompact pistol with 7 & 8 round mags like the S&W shield.
Once you get bitten by the double/single hammmer fired bug, it stays with ya.. I personally just feel safer carrying appendix-ish if i can press on that hammer and know it wont move when holstering. Have fun with it!
Thanks for this review! I too have always wanted to have this gun and look forward to your shooting review. As for buying used, as you say you can get used perfect guns that look BRAND NEW and function perfectly for a HUGE discount. Last year after a long scouting I found an internet distributer with a "good condition" rated Walther PPS 9mm Classic version, and gambled. It WAS BRAND NEW AND PERFECT, saving me several hundred dollars!........................elsullo
The storm wasn’t in those trials because it’s damn near 20 years old. And the us was already using the beretta m9, which ppl cried about. The USA pays 207 dollars for the Sig M17. you don’t get to pay that because you aren’t buying 100 thousand of them now are you.
A guy at work came up to me last night and was like, "I heard you're into pistols." Anyway, he was trying to sell me a PX4 Storm for $500. Don't have the money right now, and it's ugly...
@@spnfirearms You may shoot it better but it is not a better pistol. It is worse in every regard aside from its subcompact-ness. For your "followers" I'd like them to see your true colors. Here is what SPN Firearms sends to people who watch his videos and then he quickly deletes the comment so no one else sees it. From SPN Firearms: "Lmao you are a clown. I have the px4 carry 2. This actually is smoother shooting lmao, without the rotating barrel. Why do you comment things you know nothing about and don’t do your research. Lmao" So it is clear, I have every version of the PX4 ever made in 9mm. My opinion counts.
I live in the communist state of Rhode Island where 10 rd capacity is law. It's a felony to be caught with even an 11 rd mag. On top of that we miss out on nice guns that only come with extended mags or good deals involving them. Add to the fact that many stores take advantage of this and list many 10s for more. Then there's them frequently being sold out.We currently have a lawsuit filed against the law,but we know how that can take years and no guarantee of winning.Beware of anti 2A pols in your states and count your blessings while you have them.
You are the type that focuses on the handgun instead of learning. You blame the handgun for your lack of experience or training. I have tons of firearms, this is one of the flattest shooting. Flatter than my hk’s, my full size Glocks, etc. lmao
