If he's riding in the front he is either a lieutenant or captain. Probees or even ff's of several years won't be in the front. When you see captains at that age they definitely had family in the fire service!
@@andyapple5746 it’s pretty common sense. You clearly have no idea how it works because not every department has a shift officer. Correct? These are volunteers, which means it goes the volunteer way not anPaid Way. Stay educated ✅
@@andyapple5746 not all departments key word, but ✅ once again this is volunteer not paid so it doesn’t matter. It’s the oic job to ride that front seat and if no one is a officer or goes by sonority and the most qualified in the volunteer service.
This was some of the very best fire apparatus driving I have seen on RU-vid. Very well done: recognition of apparatus weight, recognition that 'steering wheel holders' and auto-pilots will pull out in front of emergency vehicles, and ficus on safe arrival as highest priority. Excellent!
Except for the lane selections, failing to yield at any of the intersections, forcing a vehicle through a red light and into on coming traffic ( we’re supposed to protect life and property, not jeopardize it), the apparatus operator consistently taking his hand off the wheel, other than that I guess it was ok.
Don't get out much do ya? Kommiefornia or Florida? Poor choice of locations given street design, intersections, vegetation, and you know State Highway Signs, all of which are state specific.
@RobloxFire54t7 wildland firefighting exclusively separates these two. Tenders shuttle water in a truck vehicle. A tanker is specific to air operations. I have worked as IC in these situations, the terms are separate. I have seen in land based or traditional firefighting the terms mixed. If I called for a tanker drop, I get an helicopter or airplane. If I ask for a tender drop, water is delivered via a truck to a folding tank for a water supply or helo pickup.
I thought your comment said where in Hollywood... Sorry. This is St. Mary's County, Maryland. The two larger parts of the county are two "cities" named Hollywood and California.
Good piece of driving . But the driver should have both hands on the wheel at all time to have full control Plus he is always looking at other things on the Control panel taking his eyes of the road .
