having the name bane is really fitting for a giant bald white guy who trains (owns?) a gym called snake pit.

"Catch" guys are always claiming their techniques are superior and they have all of these different ways to submit you that BJJ doesn't have. If their technique is superior, why is every "Catch" guy always a huge roid monster?

What's with the hate for catch guys? Gordon Ryan's a huge roid user who's BJJ, but no one says anything. If you roll with any of the decent catch guys, you'll find them to be some of the nicest most humble guys out there who love to teach the art. The good ones never claim that they're techniques are superior over anyone else's, because they let their moves do the talking on the mat. Almost all have an appreciation for BJJ as well. If anything, catch guys will tell you that they're techniques are older or maybe tweaked a little for efficiency or effectiveness, but don't get us confused for those 10th planet guys. JK Seriously though, anyone foolish enough to say they are better than or superior to is just all talk, but please don't let a few bad apples represent the rest of us.

@LetsGoBrandon247 Not hate and I actually like some Catch stuff, especially Karl Gotch. My comment may be more specific to Tony Cecchine, who, from what I understand, wasn't exactly qualified and showed a lot of nonsense with his video series from back in the day. He had very limited understanding of BJJ but that didn't stop him from saying, "this is how BJJ does it and here is why our way is better." You can even find a compilation video of some of the junk he shows. However, my point still stands that most Catch guys are roid monsters. And yes, so are some BJJ guys like Galvao (his mediocre technique shows) and Ryan (who has better technique, thanks to John Danaher). Finally, yes, Let's Go Brandon.

@@kingwilly8041 "some BJJ guys like Galvao and Ryan"😂. Almost every guy in ADCC is roid monster and that's not my opinion (Firas Zahabi for example).
