I've never used this system, but I can't say I'm exactly sold on it after watching this video. I don't understand how you're going to slide the 3-sided column into place with that upper "squaring corner" already in place, unless you cut the column pretty short. Are you supposed to tip the top of it into place then stand it up as you slide the bottom over towards the post? Why not just install the top squaring corner AFTER you stand the column up and slide it into it's approximate final position? That's how the bottom one gets installed. On the lower squaring corner install, the chuck on the drill is definitely rubbing against that column and you can see the person struggling with driving the screw home and the video changes scenes before it's 100% driven. Perhaps a longer bit would work better? If you didn't want the optional skirting, what are you supposed to fill those screw holes with that won't collect dirt and look horrible in a year or less? Same question applies to the gap between the column and the 4th side on that squaring corner. Why is the adhesive backing not removed from the 3rd side of the skirt? I could understand the reason if you were forming a 3 sided "U" before applying it to the post, as you would struggle with sliding it into place, but a 2 sided "L" would be simple -- come in at an angle so sides 2+3 contact the post at the same time, then partially "unfold" sides 1+4, glue that final miter, and tape it together as you did in the video to hold until the glue sets. The glue application looks pretty sloppy and uneven in the video. What do you do with that puddle at 4:13? That last joint is moving like crazy when you remove the blue tape too, and you can still see the screws underneath the skirting that were driven into the squaring corner. The gap on the miter @ 2:22 doesn't look very professional. @ 4:00, the squaring corner miter on the left isn't even sitting flush so the skirt is going to sit up higher there. Are there NO supports between this decorative wrap and the actual structural post? It's entirely supported by being trapped in between the upper and lower squaring corners? Will it hold up to some drunk stumbling into it? You guys should really consider redoing this video to make it look more professional. I can't imagine this stuff is very cheap, and if you want it to sell, you should at least take the time to do the video right. As I said, I've never used it, but I'm not very tempted after watching this. Just my 2 cents, sorry if it sounds harsh!
