Outstanding video. I'm a chilly lover and this is an awesome video for preppers. That being said when shtf and money has no value and your hungry anything is better than starving to death. Thanks for sharing and God bless America.
The Wendy's chili looked the best to me. Healthiest, and I like a thicker chili, so that's probably the one I'd like if I wasn't allergic to beef lol 😅 Congratulations on 30,000 subscribers!! 🎉
I remember when my grandfather was still with us he would get the stagg chili from Costco. It was good for being canned chili. Still doesn't beat homemade. Thanks for the review. I'm about a year into my canned food prep. Need to add some more stuff
Very interesting video. Sorry you'll be banned to the basement for a while. 😂 The only commercially-canned chili that I've ever eaten is the Staggs..and that was about 12 years ago. It tasted okay. I've never even seen 4 of those chilis before. lol I pressure-can my own chili w/ beef. We occasionally eat a home-canned jar of chili but I made mine for our food storage as a shelf-stable meal. I did 3 cases of pints 2 years ago and they'll be fine for 6-8 years (maybe longer). We'll begin eating-down this chili in a few years and will replace w/ a new case so we always have a bunch on the shelf. Usually if we want chili, I just make a pot that we can eat for a few days. Thanks for the video, though -- many don't pressure-can so it's good to have a review like this. Just subbed...I like the content I'm seeing on your main channel!
I enjoyed your test. I am in UK and have seen a lot of USA preppers swear by Stagg Chili and stack them high, so when I saw it in our supermarket I was a little bit excited and decided to buy a couple. They are apprx same price as USA. Anyway, I felt like I was eating chunks of dogfood meat. It was pretty weird, deffo not chunks of proper meat. I looked at the can and it said chunks of "shaped & formed meat". The sauce and the beans were tasty but the meat, ugh. I don't know if we have a different recipe in UK than yours, but my second can will be eaten when I have literally nothing left in the pantry to eat, lolz.
Great vid man! Wendys Chilli is real decent. It costs a little more here in Colorado. It is the one I stack up the most . 2nd is hormel w/o beans. Works great for chilli dogs. Just this fat guys opinion. 😂
My neighbors at my beach house are the air of Hormel chili or the Hormel family and people not saying they’re the best but pretty good food. Don from north Idaho
So funny...I've been on a chili craving for a month and have been trying every brand I can find...nalleys is now permanently off my list and yellowstone is at the top....stagg years ago was the worst but most varieties now are 21:41 pretty good....on the flip side...bear creek darn good chii is pretty good too
@@marcusalancate1782 We just tried the one without beans for the first time this week. My husband ate it as a bowl of chili. I had it topped on a hotdog with mustard. It was pretty good.
It would be interesting to know which chilis had Bio-engineered ingredients if any? And which one had the fewest ingredients (least additives)? Thank you!
There are knock off homemade recipes for Wendy's chili that are really good. I just pressure can it in pint jars. But for store-bought I agree that Hormel is best.
