Will never come forget about it, Nexon cannot come with 4 cylinder diesel, bs6 phase 2 norms will be applied in a few months and prices of diesel engines will get even more expensive, so providing a diesel in a Nexon is impossible except maybe if they provide in the the XZ model, these new GDI engines are only for the safari, harrier and upcoming curvv and they are petrol not diesel engines.......

Respect Tata for doing all of this that is developing gasoline engines still. As of now and coming 10 years petrol electric hybrid cars will have the most genuine and mature market as compared to traditional engines and pure EVs. TATA must NOT miss the chance with the Hybrids . Hybrid is going to stay longer than we think till the world is ready to shift to pure EVs and provide all the energies required for them without burning coal !

Tata should launch the Curvv with the 1.5 TGDI engine because it will be competing with the likes of 1.5 TSI from VW/Skoda, upcoming 1.5 TGDI from Kia/Hyundai, 1.4 TGDI from MG. 1.2 TGDI for Curvv is good but they should provide 1.5 TGDI for the top variants, just like VW/ Skoda 1L TSI and 1.5 TSI strategy.

Very calm and insightful conversation and your choice of questions reflects auto enthusiastics ☺️ हम लोग 2 लीटर से ऊपर के engines मिड और फूल साइज़ एसयूवीस में देखते आए हैं, 1.2 लीटर हैचबैक में देखते आए हैं। हैरियर जैसी गाड़ी में ये इंजन देखना बहुत ही इंटरेस्टिंग होगा 😃 , इतना बड़ा इंजन बे कितना खाली feel होगा इतने छोटे इंजन बे के साथ, और छोटे इंजन से वज़न में भी सेविंग होगी माइलेज में क्या डिफरेंस आयेगा ये भी देखने लायक होगा।

Good but tata should give old customers the option to upgrade the engine of 2020 and above model cars with extra cost because altroz 1.2 na engine is not fun to drive but this sounds great engine and i would love to get it installed in my altroz 2021 model for better everything..

Sad part is the CAFE norms that made 3 cylinders common along with turbo in few variants. None have good NVH and turbo has to be taken care of and your rpm drive is devoid of any benefits in dr8veability and FC.

Here in India,we have maruthi,uses japanese colab and make cars, refined engine ,fuel efficient and reliable. Now there's hyundai,koreans, focus on comfort and refinement... My uncle's grand i10 ,you can't even say whether the car is on or not from the inside ,such level of refinement. Recently i drove tata altroz,the car is well built, riding is very good compared to our maruthi celerio with softer suspension.but the thing is,gear shifts felt less refined compared to my uncle's 7-8 yr old hyundai. Don't know why, that's the feedback i get from the shifts. Tata needs to focus on engines, refinement and power figures...an avarage indian family needs mileage, comfort and safety.

Great information sharing about Engine Refinements. But unless Tata improves their Quality in Customer & After-Sales Service Stn experiences all the above is a waste. I call Engine as Heart & After-Sales Service Stn as Hospital. They both are very important aspects of buying a Car - Engine & After-Sales Services. Its very important to develop that Customers Trust, Confidence & Reliability in Buying a Car.

It's not bad everywhere, it depends upon center to center. I also own NEXON and getting reliable services without hassle. You can switch to another service center if you don't like one. And it's not like other companies don't have bad services, explore youtube, you'll find n number of references for troubled people for almost all companies.

They were not interested in finding faults but were interested in replacing components one after another at my expenses & also charging labour charges. It was so pathetic that my Car gear box was opened 3 times, fuel pump 4 times & engine 5 times in 5 Yeaes. Every time the opened my engine I had to bear ₹3500 for replacement of head gasket. Spent 65% of Car value in Repairs & Replacements of various parts. Tata Cars was my 1st Car in 1995 & the last one till date. The worst ever Ownership Experiences in my life. Presently have 3 Hyundai, 1 Honda & 1 Maruti Nexa Car in the family. And very Happy & Satisfied with all the Cars & their After-Sales Services. And Hyundai offers the Best After-Sales Services from the 3. Because of my worst experience I would visit, collect first hand experience from Car owners at various Service Stn & then zero down that Co's Car. For me After-Sales Services are more important than buying a new Car.
