Jime's tattoo was technically applied flawlessly, and Jackie messed up worse by flipping the image incorrectly. Ya'll give it a rest.

@@veilscarecrow her tattoo was applied well and actually fit the challenge. The image was flipped, but Jimes was a completely different character. Gtfo

He really should've been eliminated for that piece. Just horrible.

Literally the only one who hadn’t followed the challenge and got voted Worst Tattoo by the canvases as a result. Hated how they kept emphasizing that it was DC Comic Book Day, yet allowed the new school tattoo stay 🙄

@@TheMedicatedArtist yeah and annoyed the tattoo they sent home because of a few busted lines and the fact two face was burned on the other side (despite it being because of a key tattoo rule).

And he was just so smug about it, refusing to accept the criticism

Also the fact that Ollie got reduced to "show judge" in the subtitles-

The judges never said it was a bad tattoo. That's why he got 4th best despite not doing the challenge

As a surrealism artist myself who is covered in surrealistic tattoos (as you can tell, it's my absolute favorite form of tattooing lol) I completely agree with you. Hence it's called SURrealism and not realism 🤷🏻‍♀️

But in tattooing different styles have rules for a reason. You can google the definition of surrealism tattooing and what Gian did was beautiful but it just was not surrealistic tattooing.

Some people like to talk or be talked to during a session. It can distract them from the fact that you're stabbing them with needles thousands to million of times. The competition is probably one of the more interesting topics they can talk about for the camera, seeing as the canvas signed up to get involved and it's happening in real time for them.

Surrealism is dream-like as well, like Salvador Dali and Frida Kahlo's paintings

@@luvlost03 buddy yes niko is a beast and he actually puts out intrusice constructive criticism but the others just love to bash brilliant tattoos.. every Ryan a former inkmaster couldn’t pull half of these tattoos off

Although Giann's was a great tattoo it wasn't surrealism. The hard decision is always what if the tattoo is great but isn't the challenge. Or if everyone does great work on tattooing an apple because thats the challenge but the one that tattooes a orange but does it better than all of them. Who goes home.

​​@@chrisgonzales4420Guan's tattoo WAS surrealism. A surrealistic art piece doesn't need to contain a realistic object... Look at Dali's, Magritte's or Miro's paintings... None of them have "realistic" objects (by this I mean more realistic than Gian's). Here's the definition of the "surrealism movement" : - "a 20th-century avant-garde movement in art and literature which sought to release the creative potential of the unconscious mind, for example by the irrational juxtaposition of images." OR - "Surrealism is a style in art and literature in which ideas, images, and objects are combined in a strange way, like in a dream". Hyperrealism, on the contrary is "a genre of painting and sculpture resembling a high-resolution photograph. Hyperrealism is considered an advancement of photorealism by the methods used to create the resulting paintings or sculptures". Look at artists like Chuck Close, Robert Bechtle, or Ralph Goings... I believe they mixed up both genres.

@@yurei8861 If by accusation you mean literal pictures of him putting on black face for a Halloween party which features an "N" in place of the Superman S, a blacked out tooth, and an afro, then I guess accusation is technically a term you could use. I'd just say that it came out that he performed black face multiple times in the past.
