Senior 6’2 210 lbs
TCU QB Max Duggan didn’t even enter the season as the starter, but now finds himself with an invite to New York as a Heisman finalist. While Caleb Williams is considered the heavy favorite to win, Duggan is expected to finish as the runner up, which is impressive on its own.

Yea he could be a really good mid round steal.. Put him behind Dak for a year or 2 and then let him take over. I also really like Cameron Wars and Jarret Hall for a mid round QB prospect.

I’m all for it, he can be insurance if Dak don’t pan, he’s projected to go late 3rd. If we can take him In the 4th gate be great but if we gotta use a third I’m fine it too. QB coach gotta work with him on his throwing mechanics

To be a great player, especially a QB, you need a great amount of confidence and you have to let it rip and take chances. Duggan is the ultimate example of the qualities you need to be exceptional.

Dude has a Decent arm, solid accuracy especially in the red zone, can run when needs to, and is a great leader. I think the only knock I can find on him is that I really don’t ever see him make more than one progression, but to be fair with those receivers, he really doesn’t need to.

I agree man. He checks a lot of boxes making transition to the pros. He's not supremely talented physically, but he's a solid athlete who can make all the throws. He's got very good ball location. Has big game experience and seems to have the intangibles too. He's underrated. If I was a GM, I'd target Duggan day 2. Quality player

Man I love this kid. Not quite a R1 talent, but a lot of nice tools. Very athletic, live arm, downfield and intermediate accuracy. And a flat out competitor. I view him as the Ridder of this draft. Get him mid day 2 and watch him work. Scheme fits (Titans, Falcons, Seahawks) i project him to at best be a Derek Carr caliber player. At worst a quality back up for a long time, think Colt McCoy. What’s key for him will be measuring out well at the combine. He needs to be right around his listed 6’2. Would love to see him carry around a little more weight, around 215-220. Hand size will also be key for his draft stock.

Yeah well said man. That's exactly what I think about him. If I was a GM, I'd target him day 2, early day 3 if available. I think he's worth that. You get the sense Duggan will stick around the league for awhile. My comp for him is Heinecke and McCown

@Szn The Vikings sent their 2nd round pick to Detroit for Hockenson. They only have the 23 and their next pick up is in the 3rd round. They could trade back into the 2nd. I like DTR just as much as Hooker. Plus he's a couple years younger. The more I've watched of Duggan I like him.

He looks like a cross between Josh Allen and Ryan Tannahill. The biggest boost to me is that he was the guy on this offense. Quentin Johnston is a beast but Duggan threw it around. If you wanted to be picky you can say pocket awareness should be better and be more accurate in short and medium routes. He can't compete for Williams to be the top QB in 2024.

Same. I'm hoping Schneider pulls some strings and somehow brings in Quentin Johnston, Max Duggan and Jalen Carter. That would be a dream draft. Hell, we need a center, might as well draft Avila and take half of the TCU offense.
