Oh my gosh I love you Lauern. I live Taylor Swift too. And my entire trunk is full of teacher stuff. I had to downsize my classroom this year and I have no idea what to do with the stuff in my car or basement

Also, maybe the unknown technology might have been floppy disks? I remember using those in middle school lol.

My car pretty much constantly has something school related in it. Right now, it currently has some chapter books, crayons, markers, and small 5-drawer sterilite containers (these are holding said crayons and markers).

Hey, Lauren!! Long time no comments from me on here! First of all, congrats on your marriage, I am SOO excited for you! Second, I think AND believe what you’re talking about with multi-media stuff (like CDs, DVDs, Cassette Tapes) where you have a machine with a line that goes inside where you take a thin rectangle card with a thick black strip on it, and when you put it into the machine, it reads the audio and plays the audio of a sentence or a story, and to be honest with you, I swear you can actually put whatever you want in the audio and save it onto the card! 🤣🤣🤣 But it’s like swiping a credit card into the system at a store when you pay for something! Like a credit card, it reads your identity that this is you paying for it, whereas for this, (I cannot tell what this multi media device I’m talking about is called at the top of my head) it reads and play the audio back! I’m surprised your school that is very old, has a modern-day touch closet door! 😱 But I did loved the idea you did last year, when I first started watching you last year to throw whiteboard paint on it, and use it as a door whiteboard! Fun Fact: In my old classroom at my old house, where I still do enjoy teaching to my stuffed animals students today, I used to have a wall whiteboard that my parent painted for me and it was HUGE and I had TONS of space to write things on and I LOVED IT until when we moved to our current house 7 years ago, when they took it down to sell my old house! Hey, we are somewhat getting ready to go down to the end of the year, and YOU CAN FINISH STRONG, girl!! And one day, we will have a normalcy of school again in the way we like to have things! You could ask the principal if you can remove the old curriculum. Some schools have rooms to store things such as that. There might be resources you can adapt to use for RTI in the old curriculum. I just noticed the filing cabinets under the window area you were talking about decorating. I've never seen any made into a wall/ cabinet that way. Interesting idea. Random question from deep south southerner....... how on earth do you cope with winter in Massachusetts after living in Florida? I wouldn't cope well as I know nothing about snow driving. I think I would just freeze solid! Temperature in the 30 range is very cold to me. Up there that might be balmy! Lol!

If you do end up being able to get rid of old textbooks and curriculum supplies you should see if there are any other teachers in your area that teach at under resourced schools or underfunded schools that might use that curriculum and likely could really use those supplies.

If you really want to cover that fan but make it cuter you could get a round shower curtain rod and hang some cute fabric!♥️

I was going to guess the mystery tech was betamax, but I seriously hope those wouldn't still be lying around ... they also could be mini video cassette tapes for a camcorder? Those were pretty common throughout the '90s.
