Teachers, What's The Most Terrible Paper You've Graded? 

The amount of people saying this is the wrong video is astounding. Like, what did they expect this to be other than the worst papers teachers have ever graded?

It was a speech for my public speaking class, so not entirely following the prompt but I once wrote a speech on how birds don't exist. Wrote another speech that was about a quote from Paarthurnax from Skyrim, "Is it better to be born good, or to overcome your evil nature through great effort?" It was a fun class, and the professor was impressed I only laughed at the beginning of the birds don't exist speech.

Some of my 4th graders this year didn't know the difference between a sentence and a paragraph. And you can't grade a paper if you can't figure out the hieroglyphics they used that were supposed to be the English alphabet. No spaces between words so a simple sentence looks like: afrndcametomyhowsandiwashomandweplayball.

HS student here, senior year, English class designed for college bound students. we had a two-part essay assignment divided between the two semesters. The first semester was to do a biography of sorts of the book author. No problem. Earned a B. The second semester was an assignment to take the same book and write a treat critique of it. I had no idea what she wanted. Had the teacher showed examples of a critique was of a book or movie or something I would've understand the assignment. Instead I submitted an awful essay that missed the mark of what she wanted. so I earned a big F on that part of the assignment. It was years before I understood what a critique was of a book like that. Had I known what it was. I would have done much much better. By the way the book was Oscar Wilde's Thepicture of Dorian Gray.

Also, in my science class at a Christian college I went to (before I deconverted) the professor somewhat taught evolution - and I didn’t realize it until a friend in the class complained about it - and how the earth is millions of years old. I’ve also heard that Catholic schools teach evolution, but my Christian schools before college never did at least in the classes I was in.

Had a friend that was doing a dissertation. His subject? We need to be more PC. We should not use he, she, or it. We need to shorten it and call everyone shit.

On top of everything else, the "first Olympics" would have been in 776 BCE. Do yeah, definitely no texting.

On that “are teachers racist” one, it might be the student asking if white teachers are racist towards non-white students which is a valid question (I don’t agree that they are for the most part, though).

In 6 grade we had to do history projects about different ideologies + presentations. Me and my best friend made a project about nationalism and the presentation for it with dumb parrot memes as the way to illustrate the key points. We got the max grade.

There is no reason religious schools would not teach evolution. The "evolution is lie" is NOT a consensus in most of the major religions, if not all. I can only speak about Christianity with confidence, since I don't belong to other ones, but I am positive it is not in the doctrine. Not all Christians are biblical literalists, and in America there is more of them than anywhere else it seems.

I'm confused, what were you guys expecting...? like.... these ARE academically terrible papers... were you people expecting papers about screwed up subjects?
