What's The Worst Costumer Complaint You've Ever Experienced?

I've had a few, but my personal favourite are these two: The guy that called me an "f*cking conman" and then stormed out when I explained that the items he'd picked up were not part of the deal he wanted. As if I, the cashier, personally decided deals and prices. The guy that came into the store right after a big refurbish, looked at the art on the wall that gave the distance in miles to the nearest major city, made a point to tell us that it was wrong, seemed even more annoyed that we were obviously humouring him and didn't care, then later complained about the art and us not caring enough on the facebook page for the local area. I think he might have made a formal complaint about it too. The mural wasn't wrong, we checked on google maps after he left.

Hah! I once had a customer complain about me because I asked their name so I could put it onto their rodeo ticket when they came in to buy one. I end d up getting a write up because my voice sounded too much like I was smirking. Frankly I was just super caught off guard when I asked for her name and she immediately wanted to know why I needed to put her name on the ticket that she was buying.

Oh I was looking forward to costumer complaints….that would be fun…🤣

Lol. When my sons were perpetually starving teens, they would snatch food right out of the pot, pan, roaster, etc the second I said it looked done. Then yell about how hot the food was. I started just saying to them "And the purpose of cooking the food is..." and the smart asses would reply "cold" Became a family tradition every time I warned that food was hot. I've heard them say it to their own children.

I work for a service that pays your homeowners insurance from your escrow account. The stupidest thing I've had a customer complaining about is that..... we did our job. She actually called us up and said "why was this payment made from my escrow?" Ma'am.. we paid your homeowners insurance because it was due to renew. "Well I did an authorized that!" Well that's what an escrow account does it pays your insurance upon renewal so you don't have to worry about it.. That WHY you have the escrow account set up

****** Warning maybe inappropriate****** I worked for a Butcher Shop, for about 18 years. Of course Holiday Season, and we are having our butts handed to us. We here comes an high peed off customer. She also had with her a plastic bag. She said " We should be a shamed of ourselves! How could we sale something like that!" She just want on and on. We couldn't figure out what she was talking about. Finally, She pulls out of the plastic bag asking" What this is?" A turkey neck. That's when we all looked at each ( employee). May I just say , I am a female working with men. I calmly say ' Ma'am , I call that a turkey neck. What do you call it?" Her mouth dropped she turned away and walked off. Lol One of my favorite memories

Had some people call me a racist at work. I work as the person you pay to park at a state park. The people that came in gave me a card that declined. They called me a racist because “they saw others go through freely and I stopped them because they were black.” There are private properties beyond the park, so you have to go through to get to the properties. I’m familiar with our residents and their vehicles, and I tried to explain it to them. Didn’t work, I’m a racist because I let residents go to their homes and the peoples card declined. Nothing came of it. TLDR: Gets called a racist by two dark chocolates over no money and residents going home. And people wonder why no one wants to work.

I once had a customer complain that I was calling about personal insurances during Covid. I also had someone complain that we used Kia Ora (Hello in Maori) at the top of a letter because she doesn’t understand Maori 🤦‍♂️

At a fuel center i worked for, someone drove off with hose. Even with a note about pump being out of service, still contant calls as to WHY? One of my regulars who had a wicked sense humor hit the call button and asking wth was wrong. I calmly asked him to step back and really look at the pump. It took him a few seconds to figure it out. He cracked up and told me i finally 'got him'. Like I said, he was one of my favorite regulars.

Not really a complaint but I was covering for the receptionist at the RV dealership I work at and got a call. The woman on the phone gives me the address she’s at and explains she’s trying to reach the customer and say our sticker on their camper. I Google the address and she’s at a house. I ask what does she mean and she explains she’s from Spectrum Internet and was trying to reach the person who owned the camper. I told her I couldn’t give out that information. Like what the heck lady?

once i was at a burger place and asked for a fried egg on my burger. when i recieved my burger, there was no fried egg. i asked why and they said they didn't have eggs. that pissed me off and was like "how do you not have eggs??" im not proud of that. yikes. 😬

Mine are very tame When I was 16 I worked at Burger King. My first day alone at the register I had a woman order a coffee. Drank her coffee and then came and complained that I didn't give her an senior discount (that I didn't know about) I don't know if this counts, but it's funny. I am know a lunch lady. I had a student order a chicken salad sandwich and one kid didn't know there was chicken in the chicken salad sandwich. The TA who covered the cafeteria during lunch and I shared a look of confusion.

Years ago my mom was working in some kind of insurance place, over the phone she told someone to have a good weekend her manager got a call form the person complaining saying how dare she tell me to have a good weekend

lol I had a customer complain about me years ago. I was working retail and some dude kept trying to flirt with me and I just wanted to cash him out. He asked me for my number and I told him ‘no’. 15 min later he called the shop to put in a complaint against me (I picked it up and recognized the voice). He wanted me written up for ‘hurting his feelings’ 😂 Remember folx, customer facing staff are paid to be nice to you, we aren’t interested.
