I accidentally taught my cockatiel how to say pretty bird and do kissing noises. He also unfortunately learned my old alarm noise that I hated. Thanks bud On another note, I was recently give a very nice cage for free. I have one cockatiel who already has a flight cage that’s a lot bigger then this one. I still want to use it and I was wondering if it would be stressful/pointless to him to have a night cage, the new smaller one, and then during the day when I’m not in my room to put him in his flight cage. Should I just leave him in his flight cage?

Ethology question, how do you accommodate, or do you accommodate, the phrase "don't give one without the other" in a training session? Do you use different predictor for each bird? Or train them seperatly? Or just completely ignore it My birds do well with the clicker but I fear the clicker loosing power when they hear the other training and the clicker sounding but they arnt getting a treat.. Sorry if this is a dumb question

Yeah I just obsessively kiss my birds. One of them came to me chatty whereas my first bird just learned to mimic kisses because I used to spend like 10 hours a day with her 😂 and I would choose my ringnecks happy sounds over words personally

Hi, what trick would you recommend first teaching a budgie? My brother had him for two years but didn't look after him properly so now he's mine and hes doing alot better but I'd like to teach him something to give him a bit more enrichment outside his cage. I forgot to mention my budgie has a mirror in his cage and he's had it for most of his life, I know the problems that mirrors cause but he's really attached to it, how would I go about taking out the mirror and avoid him getting depressed because of it?

My budgies minic my Indian Ringneck. They are really good at it to point I sometimes think my IRN is talking when it is actually them, even to same level of volume. I just hope they don't all learn the IRN alarm call as my ears will be ringing. 😆 My IRN doesn't say human words but he copies my tone of voice.
