taxes help build them. These fees are for maintenance on those express lanes in particular, only if you use them do you pay. don’t wanna pay then get a device & start carpooling or just stick to the right in traffic. Nobody is twisting your arm to pay.

Agree… build those hiways and roads with taxpayers money plus additional taxes on road repairs and gas., which is way too much already.We should use those roads free whenever we travel.
You pay about something between a hundredth to a thousandth of your cost, actually. A ridiculous amount of subsidies in negative externalities you don't pay for and in road maintenance fees etc. are incurred by drivers. It is time to tax the drivers properly. Petroleum for car use should be close to 1000$ a gallon.
I got fined because I was on a road that required a transponder or SunPass.... I mean our taxes are going to building these roads. Now they have to find other ways to extort money from us. It's just another way to cause trouble for you and freeload more of your hard earned money. Road tolls should be disbanded.
California just passed a law for toll road to be free for Veterans who are 100%. Well not all toll roads are following that rule. What is that company allowed to break the law?

Either Fastrack is knowingly scamming people, or sending them faulty transponders, or their scanners are faulty. In any case they are overcharging drivers.
When you order the sticker transponders it is clear on the site and in the welcome pack that you don’t get a discount for 2+ when you use the stickers over the hard transponders.

I understand that all the freeways are built with our tax money. Is that right ? Now, how come that those Express lane are build to charge driver that can afford to pay and go faster ? I think this is a discrimination. Who can afford to pay go faster and who cannot go slower ? So, the rich go faster ? I don't understand this if the freeways were built with all the taxpayers money (rich & poor).
It’s free if you carpool did you not get the message. You can have an accnt & carpool free of charge. The tolls vary from 25 cents + so it’s not even expensive. Has nothing to do with status.
But it does, I make $28hr and still don't use FastTrack here in the Bay Area. I have enough things I have to pay for, I can't stand being Is nickel and dimed! But we still have pot hole everywhere... ridiculous @cloz mtz
@@MrCarlos07770 not expensive?? try riding on the 91 freeway from riverside to the oc county line. it varies from the cheap $23.99 to the very expensive $24.99. and that is for less than 15 miles
I’ve been traveling to and from San Diego and LA for the last 6 months every weekend and have the sticker transporter. Only to realize that I could have been riding the carpool for free when my husband and kid are with me. Could have saved a ton of money with the switchable one :/ just realizing this now!
Yeah, AND Bay Area Fastrak is a different agency too, even though named exactly the same. This is silly, why isn't the whole system managed by one agency?
