Why is LA charging for something that has been paid by all tax payers in LA?? We need to take this off! Need to protest for paying and making people like the mayor richer! This is ridiculous need this fix asap
On the 10 east, There is a sign by the HOV lanes From 5am -9am and 4pm- 7pm M-F people must have 3+ passengers to not get a violation Any other times other than posted you can be regular hov 2+ People please read your signs.
This is not rare. It's their system. I would hear the transponder beep sometimes and sometimes it doesn't, and voila a ticket arrives. They need to update their system or maintain it. The transponder will even beep at one location and a few miles down, it won't beep. I'm registered with Bay Area FasTrak and Metro Expresslanes systems are the one giving the ticket for their broken scanner not registering the transponder.
Probably they use different coding on different county devices well that's sucks but I called for my tickets the problem was resolved paying $2.50 to $3 each time witch was the toll fee only as long as I had the device but the best way is calling fast track and registering your car information and plate number with them so that way they bill to you just the toll use fees instead of $25 ticket witch is crazy the scanner didn't work
The problem is, they got their transponder through "The Toll Roads", which is an O.C.-specific account, and it was probably never activated for FasTrak use, statewide. If you get your transponder through FasTrak, it works in every toll lane (including O.C.) without a hitch. I've never had any trouble with my FasTrak, statewide. L.A. County, O.C., the 91 in Corona... even on bridges in the S.F. Bay Area... no issues. Works every time.

This is exactly correct! FasTrak is the way to go to get your transponder. Weʻve had ours for 23 years now and have never had a problem. Weʻve even used it in other states with no hitch.
In 2015 and 2023 I traded in my cars for new ones. Both times I got billed from TollRoads for driving the traded in cars that were no longer mine down their toll roads. Both times I paid the bill. Another California Institution ripping us off.
FasTrak even sent me a violation notice with a picture of a different car and license plate that was obviously not my car. I sent a letter of appeal together with their FasTrak notice. I keep a copy for myself. Then they send notices for days that I never even drove on the freeway since I work from home. The pictures on those notices are always the same. As if they keep using the same picture for one violation that I already paid for. It's extortion.
I didn’t know my fastrack account was closed while I was sick, I kept crossing the bridge thinking the fastrack was working, now all this tickets came to me at the same time… should I just pay them? Or can I complain with fastrack?
This is why I don’t want to deal with Fastrak. Driving on the freeway is already stressful. Don’t wanna add more stressors which might eventually drive me insane 😂
I was charged for Bay Bridge toll on the day I didn’t even drove my vehicle. I contacted them with no resolution. I just pay it to avoid late penalties. Is disgusting how they steal money from people!
You're lucky they don't keep sending you the same notice over and over. They do that to me eventhough I paid for the one time I drove in the FasTrak lane.
Did they just buy the transponder on eBay? Come on! they should register that device on fast track web first then enter the vehicle license plate (even multiple plates work too) then they even can drive without the device. Cuz camera can even catch up with the license plate. This is why every time when you sold your car, you must update with fast track therefore you won’t get charge when new owner drive your old (sold) car.
I drive for doordash and google or apple map guide me to 73 hwy just for drop off and doordash does not care to pay for you told me to pay out my pocket there and back that twice tickets
