What's new about the new B6.3 and why did I feel the need to build a B6.2 just in case? Please note: I mispoke. The B6.2D uses a 67mm dog bones and 73mm rear arm while the B6.3 and B6.3D both use 69mm dog bones and 73mm rear arms.
thanks so much for this video. i met a guy selling what he claimed was a 6.3 and i had suspicions it was actually a 6.2 and this video is confirming that. he said he bought it a couple months ago from the LHS who built it, which they did. he didnt seem to know a lot about it but claims it was sold as a 6.3. now its hard to imagine the hobby shop (the biggest and best in my state by far) either lied or didnt know what they were selling and considering he didnt know a whole lot about it i imagine he got something wrong somewhere along the line. BTW i didnt buy it.
so what was the result with the c and d blocks? what car did u run? i have just acquired a 6.2 many 6.3 upgrades), and already have 22 4.0 and 5.0 all 17.5 blinky. the ae is easy to drive and fast. the 5.0 is getting better but still needs steering, 4.0 dialed! super tight carpet track, no jumps... how can i get more front grip? shocks center to center, front and rear. 15k diff oil, 2 gear, ride height 14-15mm, 37.5/32.5 shock oil, fuzz bites and prism z4... i cant get to the inside like the tlr cars do.
Hi Trevor - thanks for the video. I am thinking of getting into 17.5 T stock 2wd off road racing. Would you think there is a massive difference between the .1/.2/.3 b6d? I am just starting out and obviously dont want to spend a fortune! thanks
Between the .1 and .3 yes. Even Between the .1 and. 2 the differences are substantial. Buying used is always a gamble. If it was up to me I'd go with a new B6.3. Building it yourself will serve you well.
Love the t-shirt. Can you recommend a loose dirt setup just picked one of these b6.3d up and haven't built it yet. looking for a setup to start with. thanks chris
@@Chris-uv8hq hey Chris. Start with a 3 gear standup for sure, lose the .3 and D blocks and use .2 C and D blocks intead. Add a brass B6.2 C block. Move the rear hubs all the way down. Flat front tower and flat soft arms. Lower the front axles. Remove the water fall brace. Move the battery all the way back. Shocks all the way in on the rear tower and arms. Middle-Middle up front.
