It's probably the only reason why he won. Bayo stabbed him twice and hit him a number of other times, while Dante was only able to fatally wound Bayo at the very end.
@@drachev2211 Fair enough, but royal guard can't be used to dodge all of bayo's attacks, and bayonetta did not use her strongest demon in addition to many of her weapons and accessories as well. I know that Dante also had several key factors omitted from the fight as well, but they did also undermine bayo's speed and strength in the analysis and battle.
Nicholas Levisay yes I know both side but Im sure you know as I do, with all skills dante way powerfull than bayonetta. Besides royal guard absorbing attacks, there is trickster for dodge skills. Not even including dreadnought mode which almost makes himself invulnerability

How did Dante cheat exactly? Bayonetta had a wider arsenal of weapons in comparison and explotitive use of witch time, not forgetting all her summons and transformations. Only thing she didn't have which Dante had was regeneration
I’ve been watching Death Battle for quiet sometime. there are those results I agree, And those that I don’t agree. THIS ONE, I totally agree. Bayonetta had Witch Time as her main advantage, but Dante countered with Quicksilver. And again, they did establish about how he was hard to kill. Heck, he lost one time in DMC 5 BUT only cause THAT WAS (spoilers) who is technically his equal.
Quicksilver wouldn't counter Witch Time. He wouldn't even have time to activate it, just as she wouldn't if he used it on her. It's the same reason why Jeanne can't ignore Bayonetta's Witch Time with her own in the first game.

@@timemonkey In DMC Dante and Vergil are actually both faster than time itself. Vergil for example doesn't get affected by time slowing attacks if you use his teleports even in gameplay, let alone cutscenes. Dante is quite literally the most powerful entity that exists now after DMC5.
@@itsmrdante6274 Those are gameplay mechanics and aren't necessarily reflective of his actual abilities. Dante is very powerful in DMC5, it's true, but his age is slowing him down and it's proven that he can be worn down and tire out if he pushes himself.

Now that Dante has the sin devil trigger, this fight would be completely one sided. Actually Dante in base form has gotten even more powerful without using the devil trigger. I think Dante was always stronger, but DMC5 has made him leagues above bayonetta by a long shot.
Don't forget that Beyonetta has had 2 games while Dante had 4 when this was made. The fact that Beyonetta is nearly equal to the power of Dante shows that she was much stronger from the beginning than he was. Also Beyonetta 3 is on its way to the Switch too. Likely around 2020
Kyle Woodowens well it took 3 games to get the Dante we know and love. But I haven’t seen anything bayonetta has done that Dante could already handle. Just need to see if bayonetta even does get stronger in 3. Judging by the trailer she gets clapped pretty good.
yeah... but going chronologically, Dante was quite young in DMC3 and like they stated he was already EXTREMELY skilled even without DT and Devil Arms. and he's only gotten stronger from that, in DMC1 defeating the king of the underworld takes a lot of effort. DMC4 he has a shitload more of ways to obliterate his enemy... and in DMC5 He is way stronger than ever before WITHOUT DSD and Sin DT. in the long run, goin off of DMC4's Dante (the best so far in that year) he would've already won by a landslide (which imo he did)

I used to watch Death Battle all the time and this vid is actually what got me to look into Bayonetta. While I was at least aware of the existence of both combatants in this match up, DB legitimately introduced me to Lucy from the anime Elfen Lied, which has to be a show with one of the biggest shock & awe opening minutes of all time, lol
Please do more Death Battle reactions. Sad Fact: They actually got Hideki Kamiya's, the guy who created Devil May Cry and Bayonetta, permission to do this. However, when he watched the episode, he called it garbage, because he's tired of versus battle debates and says he would have preferred to see Dante and Bayonetta work together.
Kinda agree with him that versus debates can sometimes go wayy too far and honestly I would have also preferred a team up between the two in a collab game. But he was definetly in the wrong for calling the video garbage. The amount of effort that went into it is praiseworthy.
I think that's the case with some DB character machups like Zoro vs. Erza, Goku vs. Superman, and Sora vs. Pit, they'd likely work together than actually fight
I wouldn't waste my time on their versus series. The victories are completely decided based off fandom size and or popularity of said series. They also have biases for certain characters. They leave out bit of important info not to mention Bayonetta triple which time ability. Where she can which time within which time within witch time. Dante's Quick silver can't do that. Also the fact that she fights angels and sages that use light speed. Dante never been a light speed user. But hey I won't stop you from watching. I just thought you should know.

@@yamatonoryuujin4871 Bayonetta has accessories that make her invulnerable, gives her unlimited magic, summons decoys, gives her permanent witch time etc moreover she has weapons that can destroy an opponent on a sub-atomic level as well as negate regen, rotton away souls, inflict curses and with Rodin (the weapon) she has nigh-unlimited access to all weapons used by demons and angels (that can interact with the human world even if she's in Purgatorio). I know both characters very well; essentially anything Dante has, Bayo has own version of it in some manor (DMC 5 just came out, so let's wait for Bayo's cameo in SMT V and Bayo 3 before any "conclusions" are made). Also a SS-level character (Tifa) losing to a building level character (Yang), is indeed total BS, I think most can agree on that!.

Dante has access to all of his weapons problem is he throws them away for money if he had kept them he would still be too OP Cerberus for example taken out of game his Crystal and Ice age attack could literally cover an entire continent this are demons comparable to demon generals afterall agni and rudra’s Inferno is literally an AoE out of game that shit would be a Tornado Dante also has the ability to use Doppelgänger giving him x2 of the damage he usually inflicts on his enemies add in Quicksilver if you have style changer as Dante was originally meant to have is also a move he can use infinitely cause it merely uses devil energy outside the game Dante’s energy is so Large that he could use it infinitely not too mention he can constantly regenerate his pool of energy he basically has infinite DT all the time and when he’s done using it he can regenerate it back plus I’m not even mentioning Pandora yet, a weapon that literally has 666 forms adding more to his arsenal each of those weapons forms is fairly unique and when you finally give Dante Yamato you gave him a broken weapon that can cut through anything and has a power to seal and cut through dimension let alone he can even cut through souls, then you give Dante Sparda and literally he’s already got another pool of energy added into his own plus this blade alone has three forms a Spear, a Sword and a scythe the weapon itself can extend based on the users will we haven’t even added DT dreadknaught and his Majin and Sin DT forms plus with Dante’s control over magic and yes he can use magic he can create any type of Bullet he wants to shoot from his guns he can conjure spells as well if he wanted to but it’s not his style so he barely even uses too much of it

Even the most DENSE warrior knows when your fight a Iaido style fighter the moment he slowly sheaths his sword the is the instant you have a very small chance to realize you been hacked to pieces or lethally ended(throat slit,decapitation and more gore galore).
It's his natural state of being pretty much. I doubt he even gets pissed off by being stabbed at this point. You can slice a sword right through his torso and his body will heal the wounds almost instantaneously. Dudes next to impossible to kill

The one thing that bothered me about this is they didn’t state that Bayonetta can overlay witch time on top of itself, which Dante can’t. Effectively making his ability useless.

If you're talking about time stop Bayonetta doesn't have that and Dante absorbed Sparda so he has complete immunity to typical time stop.Time manipulation in DMC aren't on the same level, if x can resist y's time slow and z's time slow can affect x then z's time slow is superior to y's.
That's arguable. Dante's never just thrown a satellite at anyone but he's blocked full skyscraper sized demon attacks. Not only that, but aside from her strength she doesn't beat him anywhere
@@Gration_ Plus, his arsenal of weapons far exceeded Bayonetta's. So he had the edge in weapons as well. Hell, Dante never even used some of his weapons like Cerberus or Gilgamesh in this fight. I doubt Bayonetta had any real answer to something that could cut through dimensions, so him just using Yamato alone would probably be more than she could have handled.
a general rule of thumb is that whoever has to resort to their super form first is in trouble, and bayonetta's arsenal doesn't match dante's, forcing her to essentially open with witch time and umbran climax, both of which dante can counter. even if he lacked quicksilver, dante has fought geryon, who can stop time, and won without it, so his brute strength is still enough to counter witch time.

I wouldn't recommend Tifa vs Yang. They dropped the ball in that one so hard, even many of Yang's fans said it was ridiculous for Yang to even survive a few seconds against Tifa. Their calcs were all wrong (they made Yang at least 10 times more durable that their calcs should have said she is), they took funny, outlier moments as canon and made the no limits fallacy with Aura. It's specially jarring when they admited that they knew what was going to happen to Yang in V3. They also lowballed Tifa pretty hard, and arbitrarily nerfed what she really can do with materia. Link vs Cloud too, for that matter, but to a much lesser degree than Yang vs Tifa. A composite Link is easily stronger than Cloud, but teoretically they don't use composite characters, just either their last version or their strongest version (and I say teoretically because they use them all the time, and Link is just one example of it, Superman being probably the worst offender)
Yes!! More please! They later did Vergil vs Sephiroth, if that interests you (sticking with DMC just to get you started). This is definitely one of the best battles they’ve done, so you might be going in to the rest of the series with high expectations. Just keep in mind that most of the battles use sprite animation. Though the sprite animation can still be just as awesome, the 3D fights just automatically look better. They’ve also done a few 2D animations (example: Samurai Jack vs. Afro Samurai) and one live action (Nightwing vs. Daredevil), which are just as amazing. This show garners a lot of controversy, but most of it is less on them making mistakes and more on people being butthurt that their favorite character didn’t win. Just prepare for some angry comments in the future.

There was another RU-vid user complaining about the battle being misogynistic and biased against Bayonetta on one of my comments in another video (xCraftAmbition). And I agree. I don't watch Death Battle anymore, nor plan to, but they explained to me that this fight in particular had some mysoginistic undertones, considering how Dante treated Bayonetta not as an enemy, rather a woman he wanted to fuck and take her eye off, while Bayo kept defending himself from his moves on her. When Dante kills Bayonetta, he even complains by saying "How come I never meet any nice girls?". And they followed that with this line "Worst. Date. Ever!" As far as I am aware, this just applies to this particular fight. With time, other female RU-vidrs made me realize this with their reactions, a viewpoint which I completely missed at first as a man. Alyssa Maric, Jazz, Darkcat, and now you. I realized that you all felt uncomfortable watching this for a reason, but I needed help to understand why. What I'm trying to say is that it must suck to see a female character that completely owns her sexuality and sex appeal with confidence getting trashed and treated like that. I never thought that Bayonetta was such an important female empowerment icon for many women till Lady Gaga, out of all people, started to promote her. Sure, Bayonetta is a hypersexualized character, but she is the main character of her series, has the story revolving around her, being told from her perspective, owns powerful enemies in flashy ways (even gods), and cares a lot about kids and Jeanne (making their sisterhood a central theme in these games). While in DMCV female characters are just there for fanservice, never being playable protagonists, nor taking control of the story, a situation even worse than in the older entries of said franchise. Trish and Lady became eye-candy with time that took a backseat to male characters, even the newer ones. Worst of all, Japanese creators and players of both series debunked this video from what I have read across multiple sites and noticed the bias against her, while Screwattack never addressed the issue (as they are infamous for). Sakurai even went as far as saying that Bayonetta and Palutena are the only characters that could have resolved the World of Light conflict, besides Kirby, while Kamiya stated Bayonetta to be more powerful than Dante. Well I hate them because this one was just hard to watch, she barely reacted at the beginning, only laughed a bit, then, after dante won, she went straight up idiot mode, and it was again, hard to watch.
This fight came out how I expected it to but not how I wanted it to lol. Regarding your question about the the voice actors, unless RoosterTeeth owns the source material for the character or they company that owns the source material reaches out to them they are not allowed to use the original voice actors because it would apparently violate fair use law.
I mean, I don't really know much about Bayo, I've only played DMC 3-5 based off of recommendation (Though read about 1 and 2) but all I need to hear is she's fully human. She doesn't have the regen that Dante has, and all he needs is one good shot. He is used to punishment. Even though he has a "limit" he never really dies. Give him enough time and hes back on his feet and better than ever. Bayo is just lucky she won't be put up against Nero. Boy in DT was strong enough to bitch slap SDT Dante and New DT Vergil at the same time.

This whole fight is just Dante walking through Bayonneta's tricks and weapons and her wondering what will it take to actually hurt him. Then she dead lol.
vergil vs sephiroth was poorly researched and inaccurate but the fight animation was cool. thanos vs darksied they tried to make a cool animation and in it sacrificed some realism.
I like Bayonetta but even I knew she’d lose against Dante. I don’t know much about DMC, except for the fact that Dante is a beast in battle. In addition, he’s got more games than Bayonetta. When you think of it, having more games gives Dante the upper hand. More weapons, more abilities, more opportunities to grow stronger (as if him being half demon wasn’t strong enough haha)

I've always thought the episode was rather biased because they conveniently left out a bunch of stuff on Bayo's side. But Dante winning was the obvious outcome since DMC is the more popular franchise. At the end of the day, someone's fan fiction doesn't affect my enjoyment of either character. :) DMCV was superb, and I can't wait for Bayo 3!
I agree! However I do absolutely think, even if you grant bayonetta ALL of her abilities, judge her feats correctly, she’d still lose. Not to mention, if they used DMC5 Dante. It’s just a matter of durability.

The range of styles is extremely versatile My one piece of advice is that you either react to them every once in a while, or keep them to your other channel, otherwise more people are gonna recognize you for the reaction videos rather than your gaming stuff

All due respect lady Bayonetta didn't have a chance as you know Dante can take a blade to the chest all day and as you can see Bayonetta cannot and as you can see before Trish interfered which she didn't need to by the way because he had her at point blank range and if she could be stabbed you can be sure she can be got at that close a distance this fight was a masterpiece however Trish inadvertently saved Bayonetta's life giving her time to counter
