Teardown: DENAFRIPS Terminator II DAC

Great review and very impressed with the build quality of the Terminator II. I have an Ayon CD5S with inbuilt DAC ( a few years old and no doubt showing its age) and plan to upgrade with the Terminator II.!

Thank you for video, and thank you for assisting me set up my PS Audio SACD transport to work with the T2, and also giving me assistance on how to set up my Avatar to run using I2S3. My apologies in advance the T2 is a great DAC which can easily beat DAC’s costing 10k or more, but why you have to butcher a perfectly good DAC? I hope you have put it back to working order, and it is being used. I do not want see things destroy for a sake of video. Thank You.

Alvin, what are those WIMA capacitors at the outputs, any opportunity to take them up to something better, with a little creative positioning?

For T1 with upgraded DSP board, can still upgrade to almost compatible with T2 or T2 plus?
